Okay somebody go in the kitchen and throw out all the salt shakers because this Chef doesn't know that good chefs don't have to salt everything this much . I know several restaurants where they won't add any additional salt this way you get the true Taste of the food . I don't mind some salt but this is the second or third time that I've come here and the food is so salty you can hardly eat it. I took my carrots and beans home to wash them out before I took them to work with me for lunch. I think the shrimp bisque would have been good if I could taste it through the salt! It was creamy enough. The Chicken/ shrimp franchise was good, this wasn't as salty as the vegetables. My partners strip steak was good . It didn't have any Gristle or much fat . But In there trying to to make sure it was medium rare and not overcooked they sent it out mostly rare. I've seen better out of this place ! It wasn't one of their great nights. However the place is always beautiful in the evening with all the gas torches lit and the fireplace. Sometimes I think it's worth coming up here just sitting at the bar and drinking wine and soaking up the ambience.

My family and I have dined many times at OBI and both the service and food was always excellent, in fact my wife and I had our wedding dinner there. Our last experience at OBI was rather bizarre and very disappointing, in fact none of us has ever been back to OBI. We had early dinner reservations that were made weeks ahead of our visit and there were about 6 or 7 of us having a birthday dinner, the restaurant didn’t appear to be particularly busy at the time. We had all ordered cocktails and appetizers before our main courses On this particular visit it took longer than normal for our main courses to arrive which was no big deal because the food is usually excellent and worth waiting for. After we all finished our dinners the waitress asked us if we wanted to order deserts and more cocktails so we did. After about what seemed like ten minutes the waitress can back less our deserts, drinks and embarrassed, she told us that we have to leave asap because the manager said our tables were needed for other patrons. This was kind of a shock to all of us and this kind of treatment had never happened to any of us in our combined travels and dining experiences, and we now understand that this particular restaurant is known for rushing their patrons out the door. In our area where upscale restaurants come and go regularly I am not sure that I would operate in that way if I wanted my business and my employees lively hood to survive. Over the years my family and I have spent thousands of dollars at OBI so our last experience was a huge disappointment, soon my wife and I are going to renew our vows and we were going to have a dinner event at OBI although we have since decided to have at another restaurant, the Highbridge House which I...

I took my daughter to Old Brooke Inn on Friday, May 25th for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation and were seated outside. Very noisy and we were crushed against a wall. Server was pleasant and we ordered glass of wine , salads and dinner. Salads arrived, one with wrong dressing and Caesar had so much dressing on it, lettuce was swimming and could not be eaten. Server never returned for it to be exchanged, it was left uneaten. Dinners arrived and looked nice on plate. I had grilled chicken and shrimp and my daughter ordered a 8oz filet medium well. Her steak when cut open was barely above raw! We waited for server to return, about 4 min and sent back..took another 6-7 min to return..she left and my daughter cut open and it was still just barely above rare! Waited once again for server and she took back again and when it was finally returned about 7 min later it was cut open and burnt! By this time I was completely finished with my meal and her birthday dinner was ruined! Server said manager offered dessert and I told her we would never return that this dinner was unacceptable and if they didn't know how to cook a steak should have butterfly it! Mgr came over was just slightly above rude and said they will not butterfly a steak unless requested and I told him they shouldn't send a raw steak out then and it should not take 3 times to get a steak done correctly if they had people in kitchen who actually knew how to cook! It was her birthday dinner and a complete disaster! He offered nothing else..I paid full price, $38, for steak that was given to dogs and will never return. Nice place and outdoor seating is nice but not worth a drive from anywhere for under cooked food...

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for quite a while. We've been coming here for about two years now and, in all of that time, we have never once had a bad meal or experience. The entire place is laid out so that there are many options for your dining style. There's a cozy bar in the front of the house you can sit at, an elegant dining room, a large, patio-style dining area, and a sports bar type "almost outdoor" bar. (I hear there's another bar downstairs but I haven't ever been there.) With all of those seating options, you can't lose and, even at the busiest time, we've only had to wait a few minutes for our table (reservations recommended on weekends for sure, though).

The meals are phenomenal. The chef is clearly tops in the area and the specials keep the menu new and interesting. It took us several visits before we ever got beyond ordering appetizers because they're all sooo good, but when we did, oh! (I suggest the Chilean sea bass!) The appetizers and the wood-fired pizzas are mouth-watering and quite large which is why we sometimes just sit at the bar and order several of those.

The service is fantastic as well. We have gotten to the point where we always request Stephanie (not sure if I spelled that right) because she's so much fun and one of the best we've ever had anywhere. I don't think I've ever known the name of a waitress at a restaurant before; that's how much of an impression she makes! But the bartenders, hosts, and bussing staff are all wonderful as well! You can't ask for anything more in...
