A delight surprise found on the beaten path just across from Elsie Logan Memorial park. Brought my twins to the park yesterday and as we were playing on the playground I saw this restaurant across the way, I wasn’t sure if it even was a restaurant, so I checked on maps and saw it was called The Peeple Co. I told my partner about it and I was hungry and so were the kids so I was like let’s try it, smells good, and looks good! I ordered online for pickup through DoorDash. They have a huge menu! American food, burgers, wings, hot dogs. you got Cubans, tacos, quesadillas, etc. Got the chicken tenders, cheeseburger, and mozzarella sticks, the first two coke with fries and the tenders come with a drink of choice. Next time I’m trying that Cuban! Once it was ready for pickup I walked right over and was pleasantly surprised by the interior, the AC was nice on this hot day and I loved the barn style design. There is also a kids corner with toys and games where kids can play. One of the cooks/owners complimented my fashion style, and the other owner, she complimented my hair, they were all so sweet and accommodating! I told them you know what, we’re probably gonna come back and just eat inside and they said that was fine! So I walked back to the park and told the fam that we’re going to eat inside and that they’d love it. And they sure did! Everything was so juicy and fresh, even the chicken, it was so tender and flavorful. The fries were spiced perfectly. The owners kept checking in on us and asked if we needed anything else and I wanted to try the sweet tea and the kids love sweet tea and he gave it to us, no charge! That sweet tea was so succulent, so mouth watering, everything was! I’m glad we stumbled upon this place, all around such kind people and the perfect place to take a break on a hot day. The bathrooms were also very modern and clean too, still had that barn style design but classy, if that makes sense. I don’t know haha, I just loved the whole vibe of this little restaurant. Such a gem. Also, it’s really affordable! Definitely recommend and would give more stars if I could. Thank you so much everyone, you’re the best! If I lived closer...

I was hesitant to believe this small place in Shady Hills was really a near 5-star food stop. It's an unassuming little place that has a vibe I would call country diner. I knew something interesting was going on when I found pink salt in the shaker.
My wife ordered the BBQ bacon burger, and I got the grilled shrimp.
Burger has a handmade patty and was cooked to the requested temp of well-done but stayed juicy. It was well-seasoned and through some miracle the onion rings on the burger stayed crispy through the whole meal, despite sitting in delicious barbecue sauce. The crinkle fries were super crisp and fluffy on the inside.
I was served an astounding 16 full size shrimp that were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. The broccoli was bright green, seasoned, and tender, but still retained a bit of that fresh crispness. I am not sure what the rice was seasoned with, but it was fluffy and delicious.
After the meal the owner & chef Cedric came out and chatted with us. He was very friendly and was even nice enough to answer our prodding question regarding the rest of the menu. I now know that they offer hand breaded/battered fish & shrimp.
I am very excited to have found this place and will make sure to come back regularly. I would recommend...

The meal itself (chicken and rice bowl) was very good.
The one guy that was taking orders was real nice and polite.
The meal came out quickly once I'd ordered.
Prices are reasonable, about what you'd expect for lunch in Florida.
Cons:
The "soup of the day" was chicken noodle and it was definitely Campbell's soup from a can.
They only had two people working in the restaurant at noon on a Monday.
The tables were definitely not cleaned, and the coasters and the back edge of the table by the wall seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There are also only 3 tables inside.
The guy taking orders was in the back 95% of the time, and there was no way to get his attention.
Neutral: The owner's kids were sitting at the side of the counter playing some shooter game on the restaurant TV. Not a big deal for me personally, but if you expect a show or don't like video game noise with your meal it might not be for you.
Restaurant was kind of warm. Not enough to be sweating or anything, but it could have used a couple degrees more of AC.
Bowls were chipped as well.
Verdict: I'd order takeout from them, but I don't think I'd sit down and eat...
