Cactus Creek Gourmet Coffee — Restaurant in Spring Lake

I was enroute from Fayetteville to Raleigh and decided to go via Sanford. A morning pick me up was brewin' in my mind and I wanted to support local. A quick search for coffee along the route brought up Cactus Coffee in Spring Lake. To my surprise, it was a great find and I will be a return patron.

There is plenty of parking out front. I walked into a new looking building with art work on the white walls and coffee aroma filled the air. The owners were working themselves and were extremely friendly. I ordered a mocha latte and a caramel macchiato. Both were piping hot, delicious, and not too sweet. Perfection!

Cactus Creek Gourmet Coffee is located inside of a building labeled “The Collective”. It houses several businesses inside of it. The coffee shop is in the main lobby and there are doors to access the other units for the other businesses here. The barista this morning was so helpful with advising the nondairy options available and creating/splitting a special request for my children. The layout of the main lobby is openly spaced with some seating. The biggest perk was the availability of toys for small children! They had a mini arcade game of Mortal Kombat, TVs, and an Xbox as well. This was the perfect spot to pop in for coffee with an old friend while my children played. Skip the Starbucks or the home brew you think tastes good and come on down to some actually delicious items. I typically get the basic iced latte with a sugar free flavor (by the way, they have so many options!), but sometimes I feel frisky and I’ll ask to have this Nutella protein thing whipped up. Omg. Talk about a party in my mouth. Honestly, I easily hit a new PR after that drink every time. My kids also enjoy the drinks too. I have one kid obsessed with a vanilla bean frap and another who loves the tropical sunrise. The staff always makes sure to get our orders right, and it’s definitely made with lots of love.
