Sugar Rush, LLC — Restaurant in Springfield Charter Township

If I could add zero stars I would. We had an absolutely horrible experience with Sugar Rush. I booked them for a party and they never showed up. I had a fairly easy time booking them and love that they were local. That is where my positive experience ended. Fast forward to our party day and they were 30 minutes late- I reached out to them (please note they never initiated communication with me. Ever) asking if they were still coming. They responded via text that the driver Jim should have been there by now and they would try to reach them. After 15 minutes I texted back again asking for an update. Nothing. I texted 15 minutes later (at this point they were an hour late) and they stated they could not reach the driver. No other explanation, no plan b, nothing. I then asked if I needed to send my husband to the store to get ice cream for the party (implying that they were not going to show) received no text back. I texted again 30 minutes later to see if they had an update and asking for a confirmation that they were not going to come and got no response. To this day I’ve not received a response or explanation. It was an extremely frustrating experience. I certainly can understand if things happen but the shocking lack of communication is where my frustrations lies. We were planning on the truck for the summer party and it left may frustrated and disappointed parents and kids. I had even referred them to a friend for a Corporate event and she was at our party and said how happy she was she didn’t book them for her event given their lack of professionalism. Would caution you against booking them.

Also to note- we had a family at the party who’s child has a food allergy. They reached out to Sugar Rush to see what type of treat they have and had an incredibly difficult time reaching them.

10/10 would NOT recommend and will never use again. Nor will any of the parents...

We booked the truck 3 weeks in advance for June 10th from 3am-5pm. 10 minutes before the time the event was supposed to start we called to make sure the truck was in route to us. It was then explained that the truck broke down earlier. No one called us to let us know they weren't coming or sending a replacement truck and now we are scrambling to go get ice cream as promised for our event. If you choose this company you better have a back up plan. We were booking them for 2 other events this year and now we will use a competitor for those instead.... Breakdowns happen but this is poor customer service by not communicating with us while we have a line of kids and parents...

We used Sugar Rush, LLC for kids event at our church over Labor Day weekend. They were great with communicating back and forth in a timely way during the planning and showed up right on time! Everyone loved the super friendly service and all the ice cream was well-stocked! Nobody walked away disappointed! Tons of smiles from adults and children alike!
