After spending the day on the beautiful Locust Farm, we were pleasantly surprised that there was Tomasello winery tasting room on the premises. We've been to other locations before and were familiar with some of the wines and the product. However, the lady at the counter informed us that it was operated on reservations only. The other people who came up to the counter were grabbing bottles "to go" with plastic glasses, obviously, to be consumed right there and then. There were a bunch of empty tables, and the farm was closing within an hour. I understand that we didn't have a reservation, which obviously might have been a requirement, but the lady did not suggest buying a bottle of wine to-go or any other help, in fact, being only impolite and staring at the screen without greeting us or showing any interest at all in the new customers. I didn't even want to sample anything and you couldn't get anywhere near the counter because the line was 6 couples deep. I'm not sure I'd take the drive back here specifically for wine tasting or to purchase a wine. I'd go directly to the source if you want this experience. 5 stars for the farm though: Otherwise the farm was great.
