Dukeville BBQ — Restaurant in Springfield

OUTRAGEOUSLY good barbecue. I came hungry and ordered a leg quarter, a half rack of ribs, a side of Redneck Potatoes, and some banana pudding. I've had plenty of smoked meat in my time on this Earth and the leg quarter was easily the best smoked chicken I've ever had in my life. I wish I could put my finger on what it was that I'm tasting, but any words I could come up with to describe it wouldn't do it justice... and I'm very good with language. The Redneck Potatoes remind me of German potato salad, but turned up to 11. MASSIVE portions of food the owner obviously takes pride in serving to us and with an overly charming crew, to boot. I went to this fine place on a Saturday evening during a Jeep event, and the BBQ sandwich slapped me in the face with its amazing flavor. The cowboy beans and the mac and cheese were pinning me down too. I couldn't get enough! I also really love the mac and cheese bowl they have as they load that sucker up with meat. I haven’t found a place that serves food that tastes like my childhood until today! Fortunately I was catering desserts for a wedding nearby and stopped here for lunch, unfortunately I live over an hour away. Everything was DELICIOUS.
