Frosty's Good Food & Fine Spirits — Restaurant in Springfield

As Springfield locals, we decided to give this place a fair shot—despite the swirl of less-than-glowing reviews—hoping to form our own opinion. Things began on a promising note, but it didn’t take long for the wheels to wobble.

Our appetizer, the pulled pork nachos, arrived with all the warmth and enthusiasm of a Monday morning. Undeterred, we pressed on to the entrées, only to find the temperature theme remained consistent: cold and unimpressive. The buffalo chicken pizza came out with a charred crust and a cool center—an ambitious attempt at contrast, perhaps, but not in a good way.

Our kids ordered cheese pizza and chicken tenders with fries, all of which followed the same unfortunate culinary trend: undercooked and cold. For a nearly $94 tab (a few drinks included), we were left scratching our heads—and still a little hungry.

To be fair, our waitress was kind and doing her best under what seemed like a staff-stretched situation. No complaints about her effort, but maybe a few more hands on deck—or better compensation to attract them—might help the place rise to its potential.

We should have left when two couples around us got up and left but our party had just gotten drinks from the bar. No one took our order for drinks for 25 minutes so we went to get our own. The food wasn’t ordered for another 20 and it took one hour and 40 minutes to get our meal. I wanted to leave but our party was getting drinks. Our waitress was awful. When it finally came, they managed to screw up two pizzas. Brought a half burnt thin crust that was supposed to be a hand tossed cheese pizza. And the other pizza was messed up as well. There was someone else in our party that had a messed up dinner. The rest of the party stayed, but myself and my son left to go up the street to get Taco Bell. when we were leaving, the manager asked about why we were leaving and I told him all of the issues we had and the waitress got extremely rude as she walked by and heard us talking to the manager. They really need to work some things out. It’s a cute little place , but the kitchen must’ve just been overworked and the waitress was awful. The food is really good but also so inconsistent I quit going, last thing I tried was the tacos. me and my friend both got tacos mine was covered in what looked like southwest ranch COVERED in it dripping.. made me nauseous I did ask for my order to be removed server complied. When I asked why my tacos were covered in this sauce and dripping but my friends had no sauce on it? The server immediately oh no they all have sauce on them they just must of accidentally went heavy on yours. All the server had to do was look at the plates and there was a CLEAR difference lol but to lie was so crazy lol.

Every single bite was ranch it was dripping sloppy and made me nauseous can’t see myself coming back due to this but did have multiple pleasant experiences prior to this.
