I arrived with my family of 3. Hostess says, âsit where you want.â I ask if the patio is open. âYes it is,â they say. The high top tables are all free, but I have a three-year-old. Thereâs an open six-seat low-top tableâthe only open low-topâand we choose that. First, a server comes by and then says, âwe usually only use this table for parties of 6.â I said, âwell, they said sit where youâd like, and this was the only kid-friendly spot.â She leaves as if thatâs ok. Then, a few minutes after letting us sit there and wait, another server arrives and asks, âhow many in your party?â 3, I tell her. To which she replies, âthis table is for parties of six, only, so weâre going have to ask you to move. The only available tables were high-tops, whose seat is way too high for my three-year-old, so the only option was to leave. We went to Bairâs insteadâthey didnât kick us out of our seat after having us choose our own seat, and their food is delicious! So, donât waste your time with Gallowayâjust go somewhere better...
Read morethey serve mostly burgers and a few apps.. delicious meat flavor and decent size portions. we went on a Saturday evening for dinner and it was packed busy but they found us a spot on the patio.. patio could use a view, was literally a tent around it.. with no view, maybe it opens up with warmer weather.. they played some Tom Petty music which made me happy. My burger came with no condiments and there were none offered and none were on the table. I had to wait for the waitress to go get me some mayo took a couple minutes after I was served. Not a big deal but I'm sure most people want condiments and not kecthup on sweet potato fries IMO.. The food prices were decent but the beers seemed a little on the steep side with the size cups you got and the cheap bendy plastic frat house cups.. A couple having one beer each and one burger each, cost was $50 with tip. waitress was friendly and attentive even though it was very busy.. posted a pic of my blue...
Read moreGalloway surprised me. The outside almost had an uninviting, backwoods bar vibe but that was not the case at all. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Every COVID precaution taken into consideration (perhaps the only place I've eaten at since the pandemic started that follows the ServSafe COVID Precautions). The interior is full of history and has an open, comfortable feel about it. But, to the point: the food sets a new standard for bars. I had the Trail Burger with Beer Battered Fries. The fries were perfectly seasoned, almost reminding me of east coast boardwalk fries, and crisp. The burger was juicy and cooked well. The BBQ sauce complimented the burger and fries. The service was quick. I have no complaints. It was the best burger I've had at a restaurant in years. From start to finish, it was a great dinning experience. Highly recommend! Also, give the Coffee Stout from Mother's Brewing a try. Deep, slightly...
