Trying to call Mr. Don's to ask a question or to report a problem about your order is impossible. They either don't answer at all or the phone is always busy. I needed to ask if they'd recently changed the supplier of their plant based "chicken" patty because it looks completely different (change in shape and texture) from what I've ordered and received multiple times in the past. I also tried messaging them a picture through Facebook messenger but didn't get a reply there either. Very disappointing.

Updated review 9/2/23: Cane here with my fiance and her friend today. The interior is very old school, I like it. Some of the seats and benches could use some TLC though. The food is also old school, in a good way! We got burgers and chicken tenders. Everything was pretty good, and it's relatively cheap to 👍🏻 Co-worker treated me with the all-in-one sandwich. It was delicious! Great flavor and texture combination.

I'd love to like this place more, but... I prefer spending my money on local businesses, and the old "mom & pop" places are my go-to over the big-name, take your money and run back to corporate places, especially eateries. The food here is good, it's a throw-back to the greasy spoon diners that we all used to eat in and love......but.....if you plan on grabbing some food here on your way to work in the morning, or on your lunch break, plan on being LATE for work. This is not a new problem, I've been going here for years and I always have to plan an extra half-hour into my schedule to accommodate the apparent "we'll get to you when we want to" attitude at the drive through. I was the first car in line and waited for 11 minutes (after I was greeted with "We'll be right with you") before they took my order. FIVE cars lined up behind me. In that 11 minutes, 2 drove off, 1 drove around and went inside to eat. That guy got his order to go and was walking out to his truck while I was still waiting at the window to pick up my food. Were they super busy? No. Only a few cars in the parking lot. Was my order complicated? No. Just cut 2 biscuits (pre-made) in half and drop on some gravy from the 20 gallon tub of gravy on the stove. Easy-Peasy. It's not from being short-staffed after the pandemic either. It's been like this for so long, that when I decide to go there, I make sure to leave my house half an hour early. Don's will surely burn up most of that extra time making you wait for the food....which is good.....large portions, tasty, and priced lower than it probably should be......I just wish they seemed to care that people have places to go and things to do, other than sitting in a long line of ignored cars at the drive through. Please do better, I'd like to give you more of my money, but I'm too busy out here trying to earn it, and I can lose that much time waiting. BK is getting more and more of my $, simply because they can get me in and out in the length of 1 maybe 2 songs on the radio, not the entire side 2 of "Dark Side...

Not too impressed with this restaurant. It's an episode of Gordan Ramsay's "Kitchen Nitghmares" waiting to happen. For starters when you go to order your food inside you have 2 different menus to refer to. One to the front and another random one to the left of you. Posted on an empty spot on the wall as if they felt like they needed to fill the void. Looks like something from a garage sale. We ordered take out and decided to grab a printed off menu from the counter so we could sit down and decide what we wanted without holding up the line. There we began to notice that this paper menu didn't quite match up to any of the other 2 menus. So, now that we have 3 menus to refer to we ordered chili cheese fries ( that of which was bland and the chili tasted as if it came from a can)...just because you open up 3 year old can of chili from your dusty basement at that very instance that you need to make my order, doesn't mean it was "made fresh". The next order we had was a Mushroom Swiss Cheeseburger. (Also bland with just mayonnaise and sliced mushrooms that arrived "fresh" from... that's right folks you guessed it again...a CAN. Did you notice that I didn't list anything about mushroom gravy? That's because there wasn't any...not even a damn drop. They advertise that they serve food in about the same time as many fast food chains. That's a lie! 😂 I felt like I was waiting on my wife to get ready for a night out. Apparently they try to be different from their competitors in such a way that guess what? You will NOT get any fries with that shake, because everything is to be bought separately. Yep you're definitely one to remember Mr. Don's....remember not to ever order from this place again. I'll stick to Ritzee Hamburgers from now on where the food is flavorful, the menu is simple, inlcudes "combos" and their Mushroom Swiss Cheeseburger comes with God damn...

Although I am all for the support your local business movement, places like this makes it really difficult sometimes. The food is good and the atmosphere is old school and cozy. I was going to write a review about this the last time, but this time they leave me with no choice. The service here is ridiculously slow. If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I'm not that guy who complains about everything. Last time, it took 20 minutes to get two hot dogs for my son. This time, I placed a to go order for a BLT and fries at 11:38am and walked out at 12:04pm after asking if they had forgotten about me. All I got was a quick "sorry about that!" I'm going to Ritzee's from now on as the food choices are similar, but they never have done this to me. Mr. Don's was fully staffed and had plenty of times to stand around and talk to each other and to patrons more familiar to them than I was. So as much as I want to support local, local has to step up and make me a BLT much faster. Especially during lunch when I have to get back to work. It's ultimately going to become a hangout for seniors (nothing wrong with that), but to cater to the fixed income crowd over me is probably not a...
