Well HELLO my Hoodies!!! The Hood made his way to the Spruce Creek, town that is and the Spruce Creek Tavern. Well let’s start off with this joint was packed and a line out the door. let’s start with service: it wasn’t bad. I think due to the busy, they did their best. Our server forgot the ranch for the fries a couple of times but they got it. The Hood did not ask for another drink thinking they might be awhile so The Hood slowly drank his cold iced tea. The Hood will give the service the benefit to believe it was busy busy busy so not bad. Atmosphere: cool little tavern nice inside kept clean. I will say one little bathroom might not be enough and the bathroom is for 1 person only just so you are aware. But other than that it was nice. Ok for the food…..one of the hoodies said I will get us a tray of fries….a tray….it literally was a food tray that you would find at McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s and it was heaping with FRIES!!! Oh we got bacon and cheese on them… My Hoodies!!!! Phenomenal! Fresh cut and heaping! Oh this place knows how to do the fries. The Hood got the Cajun chicken sub and the hoodies got double cheeseburger, 2 double burger with mushrooms, wings hot ranch and did I mention the TRAY of FRIES!!! Yum hoodies Yum!! All food was given The Hood and hoodies hood of approval! The Hood highly recommends a trip to this Tavern. It’ll seem out of the way but worth it! Get a tray of fries, some cold drinks of your choice and just chat about everything! Remember to follow The Hood and his hoodies for great and awesome food adventures!!! Until next time, be kind to yourself, be kind to your servers and have fun on your food ADVENTURES!!! Oh PS I forgot to take pics…blame it on the TRAY...

This review gives the good and a lot of 'but's' so read on for my thoughts.
Hands down, the fries and wings are the superb. But...if you want a wrap, sandwich, or a salad, be prepared to be disappointed. Literally, I can make a better wrap at home by pulling out leftovers out of the refrigerator. The wraps and sandwiches are small portioned so if you are really hungry, make sure you order fries. The salads are nothing exciting. Iceberg lettuce, with veggies and a protein. Again, I can make the same thing at home for half the cost. Also, if you order wings, be advised they don't allow you to substitute your side of fries for something else. Normal restaurants will at least allow you to replace fries with a side salad or charge extra for onion rings.
The service is good. The servers and cooks do a good job with taking your orders, bringing drinks, and making your food. But...the host team needs some work and they won't seat you unless your entire group is present.
Finally, the atmosphere is good. If you are outside on the deck, it's the best. If you are at the bar, it's very nice. But...if you are in coach crammed in one of the general dinning rooms, be prepared to have people bumping into you and complaining. Obviously, this is an attempt by management classify you as a sardine in order to make the most money. LOL! Seriously, if you don't want close quarters eating,...
Read moreIF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY RESTRICTIONS DO NOT COME HERE! I can speak from experience. My partner has a severe gluten allergy and we called ahead to see if they had gluten free options. You could hear the owner in the background having an attitude and swearing about it. We did confirm that would be coming though. My partner said she still wanted the fries and she would get a salad. We went (04/12/24) we got there, and when we got our server Patty, she didn’t seem to really be informed of the gluten allergy. So I informed her of the situation, a severe gluten allergy and asked to be sure of no cross contamination. We know they have a designated fryer for the fresh cut fries so we ordered those, they were fine. My partner got a grilled chicken salad. I did clarify that the grill was being cleaned and she assured me that it was “scraped.” When our food arrived, my partner started eating and about 20 minutes after, she told me her stomach was hurting a lot, and was pretty sure it was cross contaminated despite me being very clear on her allergy. We will never be returning here...
