Uptown Tavern — Restaurant in St. Clair

We stopped here for a quick bite after a great wine tasting at Indian Island winery which is only a couple miles away. This is a typical bar-restaurant with mostly domestic premium beers, a few craft beers, and lots of whiskey and mixed drinks. Since we had just done the wine tasting we had a bottled iced tea.The food was better than we had hoped. The Buffalo ribeye sandwich was very good. The service is fast and friendly. The fries are awesome! Went here for a talk with one of my sons, ordered your basic bar/tavern foodstuffs. Pleasantly surprised with portion sizes and my drink was made right. A lot of locals and the music was booming since it was getting on into the night. Def a bar, but during the day it feels more like an unpretentious sports grill.
