Elta Coffee — Restaurant in St. Francisville

This is meant to be constructive feedback as they just opened. I did give this place 3 chances before leaving a review. The baristas need some more instruction on how to pull an espresso shot. It was terribly bitter so it would seem it was run too long. The milk also was burned and the water was set too hot. There are no mugs or dishware for use dining in which is unnecessarily wasteful. Of course the paper cup taints the taste of the coffee anyway. Breakfast stopping at 10 seems an extremely odd choice. On one occasion no one greeted me, and the barista was particularly unwelcoming. Bacon, egg, and cheese ciabatta was great, but came out after the rest of the meal. The waffle with bacon and strawberries does not have strawberries. It has a strawberry jam smeared on top. We paid for two more waffles sans strawberry jam and let the barista know that we were doing so because we thought that the sign that said “strawberries” meant strawberries. The waffle was delicious, but was served in a plastic basket with paper, so the paper kept sticking to the waffle. We had to keep peeling paper off of our bites off waffle. This place still hasn't a clue about customer service. They're rude and indignant every time I come in. The manager is clueless. I have been told they would have whole bean coffee for sale yet everytime I have come in I am told they are not allowed to sell it. They started out carrying whole bean bags for sale on the shelf. The manager tells a different story on the phone than the employees. Get it together Elta. You have far greater potential but it is falling...
