Here is the 100 percent Truth about the food I've had. It's great food.
Pizza: Crust was toasty and had a soft inner texture. The pizza had cheese above the toppings (different but good). The cheese was on the lighter side. And the sauce was very light. I prefer a more saucy pizza so next time I will order extra. The best part of this pizza (and any pizza IMO) is the crust.
Sausage: I ordered sausage with a side of pasta, the sausage was a good sausage, but it had zero Maillard reaction (browning). The pasta was good, the sauce I got was a marinara and it tasted fine. But I really missed the potential flavor it could have had with more time against some heat.
Panini: The bread had a beautiful crunch on the outside with a soft chewy inner texture. The sandwich was large and could possibly be split with a salad (depending on appetite). They use Bore's Head meats and it really makes a difference.
Extras: I got a Black&White Cookie and it was very tasty. They get their cookies from a company up north and it was very large ($4) and the sweet tea was fresh and didn't have that gross ST Mary's water taste.
Negative stuff: I tried to order a pizza an hour and a half before they closed and they wouldn't answer the phone. So I showed up and asked for a pizza to go and they declined me since I wasn't dining in. That put a bad taste in my mouth but if that kinda service doesn't bother you then...
Read moreI have been here a lot, and I plan on continuing to come back. Lunch, dinner, you name it. From the décor to the characters behind the counter, the restaurant has a personality, and once you have been a few times, you can begin to feel part of it. If the people behind the counter remember you, they will acknowledge you and make you feel welcome, especially if you like Boston and the Patriots. It is a smaller place, so don’t expect a big restaurant. It is a deli, and that is what you will get. I can almost guarantee you will have a conversation with someone you didn’t come with while you are there. Some food items are on display in the front case, which is great for selecting a desert or an appetizer. For the entrees, I think they have one of the best pizza’s in town. You can’t go wrong. The sandwiches are solid and will fill you up. I have had almost all of them and have never been disappointed. Of course, everyone loves the chicken broccoli ziti. They have good wine and beer choices as well as the normal drink selection. Weekly specials are always good, and they are varied, which makes for a good change of pace when you'd rather have ribs or a lobster roll instead of a pizza. Overall, I love the place. The family-run atmosphere and the food give it a great character and make it a fun and delicious dining experience. I go every chance I...
Read moreI’m from New York and today I finally tried The Green Room. I couldn’t be happier with the taste and quality of the food! People inside were happy and I got that home feel that I hoped for! I will be back regularly. I can’t believe I waited a year before coming here! Lots of teens working there looked pretty happy and the chefs were exactly what you’d expect, friendly and they look like they genuinely enjoy their craft. I got chicken Parmesan and the chicken was juicy and the cheese was stretchy and delicious. The sauce was incredible and very authentic. The garlic bread wasn’t soggy or overcooked. It was very buttery and had the perfect amount of garlic. We devoured it. My kids had the pizza and I also tried some. I can promise it’s authentic New York style pizza. I forgot I was in Georgia! The cannoli was (I can’t believe I’m saying this) better than a lot of places back home. I usually only get them if it has chocolate chips but I didn’t miss them one bit. I’m 100% satisfied and I will refer this place as long as they keep their doors open and the quality...
