If you crave mouth watering, down-home country cooking, Lucille’s Country Cooking is the FIRST place and in my opinion, the only place you should come! It stands on Main, country like/ county road in Barnegat Twp. set in a very country surrounding. So not only is the food down home country but so is it’s surroundings and environment. It feels like you’ve left NJ and went down south! Absolutely proud that it actually is in Southern NJ or as we say South Jersey. You can sit outside on the covered patio, or umbrella covered picnic tables or inside. Just about any dish you try is absolutely savory and you can taste the home country cooking. Their portions are generous and prices are fair for the portions and experience you have. They are a family run place and open from 8am-2pm Tues-Sunday. They also bake fresh homemade pies and desserts for purchase to take out as well as sell the famous Jersey Devil Merchandise. I had the biscuits and gravy meal that I can happily say was the BEST homemade biscuits and gravy I’ve had that includes having had down south and even at the most classic diners. Every element of this dish is home-made from the fresh baked biscuits, shredded home fries, the whole fresh sausage and homemade gravy. My party also indulged in a BLT sandwich with fries and a fresh made to order omelet with tomatoes, peppers and onions, gluten free toast and home fries. Don’t forget to have a steaming hot cup of coffee there too. If you’re into four wheeling and off road Jeep mudding/riding, come on by with your vehicle. They welcome you with open arms and plenty of parking. It’s also a hot spot for classic cars...

On Sunday 10/15. I didn’t even get a chance to be seated cuz it seems they have a very poor system while waiting to be seated. My wife an I drove 30 minutes to check this place out an as we walked in it was busy so we put our name on the waiting list As we waited over 20 minutes a table finally opened up , we were the ones to be seated next and wouldn’t you know it the couple that walked in after us was gonna sit at counter cuz there were no tables. So immediately when they seen the open table they sat down An not one worker noticed this. meanwhile we were still standing up waiting to be seated. so I walked up to the counter an told the young girl that we were next , an said to her that couple that walked in sat down at the open table that was suppose to be ours. …the girl did nothing she didn’t say anything an didn’t even attempt to go over to the couple who took our table and explain the mix up. Unreal. So is this how they run their business ???? I will never ever step foot in the fucin place again !!!!!!! it’s poorly run ……I don’t care how good the food is. the workers need to be trained right and need to pay attention to detail if they are taking names…. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. What a waste of time that was we walked out of there… if they don’t care about us then I refuse to give my business to them. it’s...

So me and my little family love coming here because they have an outdoor play area for the kids butt the only problem I have with this place is we will sit down we'll have to get our own menus and as we're sitting outside other people will pull up after us and they are asked what they want way before my family I'm just wondering why it took us over 45 minutes to be asked what we wanted for our breakfast it took a very long time for our waitress to come and ask us what we would like and to finally be served our breakfast.... and this is such a shame because my little boys love this place, please Please can you be more attentive, the past three times that my family and I went here my husband has to go inside and ask them to come outside to take our order after sitting for 45 minutes we really love your restaurant this is my only complaint and my little boy spilled my iced tea that I just got and I asked for another one and I never got it and I understand things can happen when a restaurant is busy and hectic but on the day we went it wasn't busy at all please when your customers sit down please bring them a menu in a timely Manor and ask them what they want for breakfast lunch Etc and not make them wait almost an hour with their two little boys that get very...

First time here and probably the last time. Strongly disliked atmosphere. Very small and super crammed. Seats were pressed against shirt racks. Table was wayyy too small. Very cold, as we were stuck near door. Ordered almond croissant French toast special and can't explain how dissatisfied I was. It was sooooo soooo tiny. I ate the "French toast" in six bites, no exaggeration. Added a picture next to my finger n teaspoon to get idea of the size. I've seen child meals that were larger in quantity. Also tried pancakes and was disappointed. Too thick were it came apart and flavor tasted too much like artificial vanilla. They were huge but just not to my liking. Home fries were subpar as well. Confused on how so many reviews liked them. Very mushy n not much flavor besides all the onions. I like crispy home fries. Not here. Coffee was very good and service was tremendous. Very pleasant staff.

Living in coastal southern New Jersey we have tons of breakfast options. Which one tops our list? Yup. Lucille's! We love the food, we love the atmosphere, we love the staff, and we love the sense of feeling like we're a part of something really special. It's our favorite breakfast place by leaps and bounds. But wait! There's more! There are insanely good pies that are freshly baked daily! I love coconut custard pie, and without a doubt, Lucille's coconut custard pie is the very best that I have ever had. Lucille's is a bit on the small side, and it tends to get crowded. So shhhh. Let's keep Lucille's our little secret. Expert level server Kim is awesome.
