Here's the story on how we ended up ordering here for dinner last night.
We were really craving pizza. I go to Google, search "Pizza near me". This place was number 2 on the list.. I've never had this place be suggested before,. I've never heard nor seen of this place being in Stanardsville, but I was intrigued as I Love a good New York style pizza; it's my favorite style. I Look at the menu, already noticing the reasonable Prices, compared to some of those around that area and in Cville. I was like okay, the prices reeled me in already. I ordered us a XL Cheese Pizza ($13) and a order of Mozzarella Sricks (6 sticks for $5). 🤩 BEST descion on us was Ordering from here!!😍 When I tell you the Smell Alone from this Pizza once I got it to the Truck had me salivating 😂 Not only did this beautiful aroma of this Pizza Smell SO Flavorful and Amazing, I couldn't wait driving back 25 mins to the house to try it.. I had to taste it right then. I grabbed a Piping hot Slice, and Brother!!! The flavors! The cheese, the sauce- MMM! Both so flavorful and delicious! We are Pizza connoisseur (if you will lol), so we've tried our fair share of NY style pizzas from alot of places.. and dare I say this Pizza place is the BEST we have tried! We aren't even saucy people we typically ask for light sauce-- we didn't here, we wanted to try the pizza as it comes. Their sauce has such great flavor, we didn't even mind the amount on the pizza. I think we found our new Local GO TO Pizza spot! Also, even though it was a very short interaction, from what I saw, the staff was GREAT-- Very Friendly, Smiley, and Nice! Over all, We WILL be returning! And I would recommend anyone who likes GOOD pizza Give this place a shot! I know I was sure Happy about my experience. 😊 🤌🏻🌟Zero Complaints...
Read moreSecretly, the old New Yorker in me (north shore Long Island, as I am nothing if not open and honest), misses a good, gooey and hot slice. More over, I miss the two-slice-and-a-soda lunch of my youth and young adulthood, grabbed on the fly and satisfyingly decadent. With a handful of change and 20 minutes, one could enjoy a decent lunch without breaking the bank. And it was portable.
The thing is, south of New Jersey, it's hard to find 'just a slice'; everyone's selling the whole pie or nothing, which is great (for whole pie folks).
Quite literally, New York Pizza is exactly what I'd been missing. They offer a two-slice with one toppping (optional but included in the price) with soda deal that matches, if not exceeds, previous experiences - including here in the local central VA region.
We've done their take-out for dinner and it was hot, fresh, well-prepared and delicious. It's the lunch for me, personally, that tips the scales. That, and the staff is welcoming and on point. They are also polite and patient over the phone and in person.
There are tables, if you're staying. Low key and casual.
If you're driving through, coming down from SNP or just hankering for a new joint to try, do yourself a favor and go here. What it may lack in decor and pizzazz doesn't matter because you're there to be fed, not...
Read moreWhat an absolute gem right here in Stanardsville! New York Pizza has quickly become a standout spot in town, and for good reason. The food is nothing short of authentic — from the first bite, you know you're getting the real deal. The crust is perfectly crisp with that classic New York chew, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are fresh and generous. Whether you’re grabbing a slice or diving into a full pie, it’s the kind of pizza that makes you pause and say, “Yes, this is it.”
The staff? Incredibly friendly and welcoming. You’re greeted with a smile, and it feels more like visiting family than just placing an order. They care, and it shows — not just in their hospitality but also in the way they serve up consistently delicious food with quick, efficient service. Even when they’re busy, they don’t miss a beat.
