The Bluebird — Restaurant in Stanford

I’m not one to write Google reviews and I’m fairly certain this is my first one but this establishment is absolutely deserving of the high praise and I’ve been meaning to write a review for quite some time now.

This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant that I’ve been to here in Kentucky, and I believe you’d be hard pressed to find another restaurant that offers the same level of service, food and care that the Bluebird does.

The servers treat you like a regular whether it’s your first time going or your first time in months and they treat you as family. Always greeting you with a smile and they make you feel like a high profile guest with how good the table service is.

Honestly, I don’t think that I possess the words to describe just how good the food is. I’ve made it a point to order something different every time that I’ve went and there hasn’t been a dish yet that hasn’t amazed me. Although, the pork belly bites are a particular favorite.

Getting to see the kitchen staff prepare the food is always a treat. They always have a presence of absolute professionalism and the speed of which they get a dish out is insane.

The only thing that I’m left wanting after leaving, is a Bluebird cookbook. I’ve made it a point to introduce as many people as I can to the Bluebird and they always echo sentiments similar to mine. If the review doesn’t lay it out well enough, this is an...

To the Bluebird culinary team and management, Today my husband and in-laws stopped for lunch. He brought home a pimento cheese burger for me. I reheated the burger patty itself in the air fryer on 390 for 5 minutes. Halfway through my burger, I look at it and it’s RAW. For reference, he did not order it medium rare. Completely NOT acceptable. My husband was with his parents and only ate at the establishment because my mother in law enjoys going there. Otherwise he wouldn’t have went because of our poor experiences with the food we’ve had the two times we’ve been there - hoping for a better the second time around. I never want to give businesses especially local, poor reviews. However I feel this is necessary so it can be addressed with the culinary team and management to see that this doesn’t happen to...

Bluebird never disappoints and this time was no different. I had clients in from Michigan looking for a house in the area and decided to take them for some local food and Bluebird was the first place that I thought of. I ordered the homemade chips with Gouda cheese sauce for an appetizer and they were hit and was apparent that they were made to order. For dinner, one of the guests and myself ordered the Bluebird Brown (their version of the hotbrown) and I have to say, it's probably the best one I have ever had. The tomato and bacon had been chopped into bits and sprinkled all over the dish, ensuring they were in every bite. The same Gouda cheese sauce from the chips in place of the usual mornay and superior from my tasting experience. My guest finished her plate in record time. The other guest ordered the cheddar cheese burger and said it was exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately we didn't save room for dessert, but it looked great.
