Nestled in the Four Guys Campgroud is a new restaurant and bar to the Red River Gorge. When you arrive at the narrow bridge leading to the restaurant, you may think you made a wrong turn. Head up the road, past a house, and up to the parking lot. There is an upper parking lot if the lower one is full. Venture forth down the slight decline from the parking lot and into a very open floor plan barn style restaurant. You will step up to a window couter inside the first part of the building. Once you order, they give you a number, and you then go to find your seat. There are plenty of seating options. There are inside, outside, and bar seating. The bar has a small inside stage for live music. You order your drinks separately from the bar. No conventional table service. But I actually prefer this for this style of place. The staff is friendly, but you can tell the place is new and just getting comfortable in its own skin. Our first meal there started out with an appetizer called Mexican Cigars. These were very good and unique. They consist of spicy cream cheese wrapped in a spring roll wrapper and accompanied with honey Sriracha sauce. My wife had a peach margarita with a sugar-coated cup rim. These are not your cheaply made wine margaritas. They are made with tequila. I had a Country Boy draft, which is always a solid choice. For those unfamiliar, Country Boy is a central Kentucky brewery. When dinner arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the quantity of food. Not over flowing with portions, but plenty enough to fill our bellies. We decided to try a few things since this was our first time here. We had burnt turkey ends with Mac and cheese, the Smashburger and fries, and finally, the Korean chicken Philly. The Smashburger was really good and had plenty of flavor. The fries with the meals were good as well. The burnt turkey ends were my favorite. No sauce, just awesome goodness. All killer, no filler. The Mac and cheese side was your standard fair. Nothing earth shattering, but solid. The Korean chicken Philly was the meal I was most looking forward to. While a really good quality chicken Philly, there was no Korean flare to be found. That was a bummer. Maybe they left something out? I can't be sure. But all of the food was at a minimum solid, and then we had a couple of real standouts! We ended up going back out there again two nights later. This is easily accomplished as we are local to the area. We really like the atmosphere and decided we deserved a drink and appetizers for all of the slaving away we did around the house. When we walked in, the good smells turned our drinks and appetizers into meals as well. We tried the spicy guacamole and chips, gouda Mac and cheese bites, Philly cheese steak and fries, and the Mahi-Mahi bites with fries. Of course we couldn't forget the drinks as we prepared to Gorge ourselves once again. Don't judge me, it was for science. Or something like that. My wife decided to try the Pina colada margarita, and I had a Country Boy beer again. My wife really enjoyed the Pina colada margaritas. Now for our second go at the food. The spicy guacamole is really good and had plenty of flavor. Not real spicy. Which is a good thing. The fried gouda Mac and cheese bites were the standouts on this trip in. Highly recommended. The Philly cheese steak was a very good version of a great classic. The Mahi-Mahi bites were of good quality. But to me, they missed something. Maybe a sauce or seasoning. But all of the food has been great quality. If you pick an inside seat of a properly positioned outside seat you would never know the restaurant was in a campground. This is a really good place and it has just opened up, so we are expecting even better things for their future. Well done, Toad's! We will be back soon! It's nice to have a good restaurant like this near home. Give it a try, I believe you...

My husband and I were there twice last weekend with our friends. We were camping in the neighboring campground and decided to check out Toads on our way to the campground pool. First day at Toads the bartender Autumn was great and super friendly plus she made us great drinks. To Autumn we hope you are super successful in your future business Daisys! Our Second day at Toads we stopped for a drink again otw to pool, my friend had shorts and bathing suit top on, after waiting for 15 mins in line to order behind a large motorcycle club (patch holders) We finally sat down to enjoy our drinks and after another 15+ mins being in the outside restaurant we had a very nervous lady came over and she asked us to leave because of my friend being in her bathing suit top and shorts. She stated her boss told her to tell us - first and foremost no signs saying there was a dress code and no bathing suits allowed. I am still trying to understand this place we were in line 15 mins and no one not even bartender or anyone said you have to be in formal or semi formal attire. We would have left immediately and probably not been aggravated w situation. Poorly managed and apparently you only want the towns people to support you. If you visit the place it’s nothing fancy it is an outside restaurant and has no ac plus it’s in same driveway of the RV park. The problem is the boss Jeremy who waited til we spend our money then tell us to leave because I am assuming “he or a regular “ was offended. One thing I would like to say is Jeremy grow some kahunas and post the proper signage or address your customers yourself. Not visiting again because your establishment is more rude than welcoming. Also food we had on first day wasn’t that great….could have got better food at the Go Time convenient store. Just so you know I have many RV friends and I will be sharing not to visit your restaurant. Truly if you want it to be more than an outside restaurant do some upgrades and...

The bathroom door slammed shut and on my heel and sliced open my heel, I had a huge laceration and was bleeding a lot. The bathroom door closer (the metal thing at the top of the door that determines how fast it closes) is not adjusted properly & should be adjusted to a slower setting for the safety of the customers.

We really liked it!! The food doesn’t appear at first to be anything special but it’s really tasty :) I got the Korean Philly and my boyfriend got the smash burger. We also got fries and onion petals. We genuinely enjoyed our whole meal and it came quickly. It isn’t quite a sit down restaurant as you do order at the window then sit down. We live in the gorge and this is a vibe that has not been done yet. We will certainly be back!

I have two things to mention or improve on. I’m mentioning these because I want this place to do well.

I got injured leaving the bathroom as the grey door closes so fast and it’s got a metal lip. I was wearing flip-flops and the door came smashing into my foot and took a good chunk of skin from my heel. The doors hydraulics should be fixed and slowed down. I did tell an employee there but I’m putting this here because I do think if it hits an elderly person this could be a bigger issue for the establishment.

The second issue we had was also safety believe it or not. My Korean Philly was really good, but the thing was WAY too hot. It burned my lip and I dropped one piece on my lap which then burned my leg. I did have a red mark on my chin for a couple minutes but it went away. Not as big of deal as the door but...
