JACZ — Restaurant in Star Valley Ranch

It’s hit or miss. We’ve eaten there 4 times while staying in Star Valley for the summer. The first time was absolutely amazing, both food and service. I was so impressed, I recommended it to quite a few people. Unfortunately, the three times since then have not been nearly as good. Our fries have either been old or burned. They’ve messed up at least one of our burgers each time. The drive through window isn’t always open, but doesn’t seem to state that anywhere except on the window itself, so you don’t know until you pull up to it. Starting about 30 minutes before they close, the entire staff starts to look out on the dining room, visibly annoyed that people are still coming through the door, ordering food, and spending too much money for something that is only cooked correctly half the time. We’ve gone back because we know it’s family owned and mostly run by teenagers. The food IS good, as long as it’s right. I do hope they fix some of the consistency issues before next summer because it has the potential to be a destination restaurant. The last time we were there, the kid helping us didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or how to pack a Togo order. Best burger in Star Valley. In the Jackson area if we’re being honest. So happy they reopened and their new location is much easier for me to get to and family friendly. Bacon cheeseburger is great and their specialty fries are a definite plus. The place has been very busy since they reopened so if you’re going in on the weekend (Fri, Sat) expect a line to order and to wait a bit for your food. Drive through window is hit and miss so we generally call in our orders ahead of time - wish they would come up with a “pick up” line - since coming in and then waiting in a line to pick up your take out called in order usually results in it being a bit “cool” by the time you get it home. This place is amazing!!! The burgers and shakes are great! I got the Buffalo bacon blue cheese burger and hubby got the bacon cheeseburger. Very good!!! You can dine in or They have a drive thru as well but it’s always a long line out to the road. They pump through the lines very fast though. No longer than a 5-10 min wait either way. BEWARE!! We’re from Idaho falls and we used google maps to get there. We were headed south from Alpine and it told us it was on the left. Wrong!
