Three Canyons Restaurant — Restaurant in Star Valley Ranch

Horrible experience past three times I went since it opened. The most recent time I went, we waited 30 minutes to order, we couldn’t even order what we wanted. They were out of everything. Then ten minutes after ordering we had to change our order again because they ran out of more food. After ordering we waited another hour and a half for food and drinks. They didn’t even give us water to start with. After eating the sub par food, we decided we wouldnt tip because of the awful experience, but to our surprise, my friend who paid was charged 44 dollars, as compared to our 37 dollar receipt. The waiter Lois added a 7 dollar tip. The other times I went the wait time was also way too long. Save your money and go to thayne or afton for way better food, way better service, and lower overall cost. The wait time would be excusable if we had a large party. But it was only me and my friend. Two strikes… I showed up last night at 6pm for dinner with a party of three. We were told that they would not be seating any walk-in parties because there was over an hour and a half wait due to the kitchen being backed up. At this point, the restaurant was no more than half full. Today, I ordered two chicken Caesar salads to go. It took them 20 minutes to prepare them and when I got to the restaurant to pick them up, there were exactly 2 people sitting at the bar eating. When I got home and opened the salads, they were definitely not $22 salads: each salad was about the size of a side salad I would expect to receive at dinner, with a half of a chicken breast on each. Dinner for a family celebration. Made a reservation but a group of 30+ got main dining room. We were put in the lounge on high top. Food good steaks, came out quickly but way way way too noisy. Could not hear each other speak. Brought our own wines...corkage fee a little high but we were thankful we could bring our wine. Next time we'll ask to be moved to patio dining.
