I don't think "a hidden gem" would be a term I would use, as the locals seem to love this place. I can say this, though, being an outer towner. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff now how to be warm, gracious and attentive, the FOOD is amazing and the drinks made just right. I had a chat with the owner, he was wonderful, his daughter kind, and the staff all had positive attitudes. I will drive back from Rhode Island again to hang here. Went to dinner to celebrate the 8 year passing of a family member. Was asked what kind of drinks we wanted before even getting to sit down, waitress forgot a dinner salad when bringing out the food and didn't check back until 20 minutes later, which at that time just told the server to take off the bill- no apologies or explanation given. After getting boxes for our food, the waitress was preoccupied by a few gentleman at the bar for over 20 minutes while we waited for the check.
