I was super excited to see a new BBQ restaurant at the farmland. Probably one of their best business decisions to add this establishment to the property. Especially one with the training that this PitMaster has.

I placed my order online. Only a 15-minute wait to prepare 3 meals, a pleasant surprise, 2 smoked turkeys, and a half rack of ribs. Arrived 20 minutes after order and found it to be ready on the counter. Friendly service through my walk through.

As far as the food goes, both smoked turkeys looked and tasted quite well. Great smoke on them and tender. I felt the portion was quite small, though, for the price even though it's supposed to be half a pound. Ribs were hit and miss. The ribs are precut for you, and it tasted like I had ribs from multiple racks. Some ribs were perfectly smoked while a couple tasted a little dirty. Clean ribs needed no sauce while dirty has sauce covered up.

Fries that came standard with all meals were a small serving. It was the smallest serving of fries I've ever had at a BBQ restaurant. Why skimp on the fries? They were cooked wonderfully, though. Perfect crunch exterior with soft interior. Other reviews say coleslaw tastes mass produced, I couldn't disagree more. One of the better slaw that is available even if it is bought. Gouda Mac and cheese has a fair portion and was tasty.

All of the food was eaten in that moment with plenty of room for leftovers. A testament to their cooking and portion sizes. The best deal seems to be upgraded to meal rather than meat only....

Would give 6 stars if I could! I don't think my last review posted so I'm writing a new one. I dont usually take the time to write reviews but this place deserves it. I've heard great things about this place, so I came in to eat a few nights ago with a couple friends from college who were in town. We got to the counter and Daina took our order. She was an expert with the whole menu and gave great suggestions. We all ordered different things but I got a three meat combo platter. It had burnt ends, brisket, and smoked turkey. The burnt ends were phenomenal, they basically melted in my mouth. The brisket and turkey were also amazing but the burnt ends were the wow-factor. For my sides I got the smoked gouda mac and cheese which was delectable as well as the pit beans. Beans were a little soupy but the taste was amazing. Silvia the waitress stopped by many times to make sure everything was to perfection. She is definitely the most friendly, hardworking young waitress I have experienced in awhile. She also offered to take our picture when she saw our selfie skills struggling😂. Frank, who I think is the manager walked around and double checked on us too. He has a celebrity smile. I have a business of my own and I know prices are high right now due to inflation, so these comments need to stop complaining about the prices. I will 100% be eating here again and don't mind spending a few extra dollars on BBQ this good and staff...

I’ll start by saying I never expected the side dishes to be FAR SUPERIOR to the meat, not sure how to square that round peg. The mac n cheese was phenomenal, so were the onion strings and the cornbread bites. The beignets were fantastic too. But the beef brisket was nothing to write home about. Dry, overcooked and a complete lack of seasoning on the bark. Absolutely taken aback by the “Kansas City bbq” label, that should immediately be dropped. I lived in Kansas City for many years and had Gates and Arthur Bryant’s all the time, truth be told there is NO COMPARISON whatsoever. Additionally, how are the portion sizes determined? It’s as if they don’t want customers to return, just take their money once and understand that will be the final visit. That was extremely disappointing. Also the sauces were terrible, I’m just shocked they would have the audacity to claim Kansas City bbq with that type of sauce. I won’t be returning, but if you decide to try, make sure you’ve already eaten. The portion sizes are like what my son in elementary school gets from the lunch ladies.

Edit: Your response is the same to every negative comment on your page. “Wish you would have told us at the time”… How was I supposed to tell you when it was clearly takeout? Obviously you don’t truly read these comments or look...

One star for cleanliness of the place and one for fast service (it’s a fast food place anyway). The rest is only negatives: very expensive for what it is, $26 for “burnt ends”, only the burnt part was true. I was served five cubes of beef measuring 1.5”x 1” each, of which two were just fat. See the picture). $26 for that!!!! The sides were subpar: a cucumber salad swimming in sweet water. Why? The rice super salty, the pickles (3 slices of cucumber. Three!!!! See picture) super salty too. Even the sauce dispenser spat liquid mustard all over the counter. My mother got the 1/2 rack of ribs: they were sooooo dry and guess what…super salty. I’m never coming back. It’s the worst value restaurant I’ve been to by far and I’d not recommend it to anyone, friend or foe.
