The most memorable experience of incredibly rude service. Food is good, but when I refused to accept food that was prepared exactly the opposite of way I had asked, the young female waitress did not have it redone to conform to my order. She said the cook couldn't fix it. That was obvious. She expected me to eat it and pay for it. He could have redone it. I told her if it wasn't prepared the way I wanted it, I didn't want it. I'm not going to pay for something I didn't want when the mistake was either hers or the cook's. I finished my drink at my table, and 5 minutes later, got up to pay for my drink. After paying, this young blonde then asked me how old I was. I asked her why she wanted to know. Her response, "You should act your age," then, pivoted, turned and walked away. Kids. Pink kids. Rude. Snowflakes that act their age best grow up if they ever want own their own businesses. I used to eat here 2 to 3 times a month. If she only knew the value of come back business, but, she probably is just a summer hire. Never saw her before. And won't again, as I won't...
Read moreDos Amigos is an incredible restaurant in the small town of Sterling. I have eaten there about 20 times and everything I have ever gotten has been incredible. The flavors are strong and robust. The portions are nice and filling. This last time, I got the El Gordo and I had enough for two night's dinner.
The inside seating is comfortable and lively. I have seen groups of 15 sitting together enjoying a meal, and I've seen individual people eating by themselves enjoying the delicious food.
The service is always prompt and efficient. While some servers can feel overbearing or awkward, the servers here have the right amount of engagement so you get what you need. I also appreciate that you just go to the front of the restaurant to pay for your food at the end of the meal, rather than having to wait for the server to bring the check and take your card away.
If you are in Sterling and looking for a place to eat, you will not be disappointed...
Read moreDo not trust this Google listing regarding hours. Tried to go here twice during a visit to the area and it was closed both times, yet the hours shown here said they were open. C’mon, keep your listing up to date. It’s so simple.
Food is average. There are dozens of these restaurants scattered all over the state and the food is pretty much all the same. Not bad but also nothing so good that you’d go out of the way for it.
EDIT: When I'm searching for a good restaurant I use Google. I look at the reviews, hours, location...on Google. Your FB updates might work for locals or those who specifically follow you there. Not remotely the same as keeping a Google...
