Chubby's Burrito Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Stigler

Good Mexican food. Great atmosphere by the lake (across street). Eclectic clientele with lakeside property owners mixed in with families visiting their summer vacation homes by the lake, a blend of RV tourists and some hard working locals sprinkled in. Makes for good conversations.

Staff is young and inexperienced but know enough about the restaurant business to be dangerous. As with all places you shop/eat, review your receipt. Is this just another Mexican restaurant in small town Oklahoma... perhaps, but this one tries to be more Chipotle-like where they assemble your burrito in front of you. You pick what ingredients go onto your 12" tortilla.

Standard meats(chicken, beef, pork), typical toppings, salsa, guacamole, cheese sauce, and all the veggies; corn, beans, rice, jalapenos, cilantro.

A bit overpriced like Chipotle as well. Wife and I got a burrito meal and a nachos meal and it ran us $30 with mil discount and tax exempt because I'm a 100% disabled veteran.

But, such is life: economy is getting to where the dollar will be worthless in a couple years. Time to get some crypto before the inevitable collapse of this iteration of the dollar. I'm glad I didn't spend $100 at Chubby's Cantina, but it's coming folks, get ready. Move your money into land assets, gold, silver, and crypto. Not financial advice, so don't...

The bartender took my money and never turned back around ignoring me so she knew it wasnt a tip. Went there for a night out with the wife. Was all good till I went to get a solo cup of margarita. I was waiting for my change I paid with a 10. The bartender never acknowledged me and the owners best friend said he would have her bring me my change, so I assumed they were having technical difficulties. 15 minutes past so I decided to get up and ask for my change and to my astonishment the bartender had a horrible attitude and the solo cup of margaritas was $9.00. So I pay 9 dollars for something worth at most 4 and on top of it I'm treated poorly because the bartender felt inclined to keep the rest. Needless to say this is the second and last time I will ever eat at chubbys. I do not recommend this...

I visited this spot for lunch yesterday and ordered the Nachos with Chicken. There are many choices for toppings like you would find at Qdoba. The problem is the Queso. It is extremely watered down and all end up at the bottom of the boat. Be Aware! I observed other items going to different tables and they looked to be a better choice. The atmosphere and and staff are 100%. Very friendly. The Price for mediocre nachos and drink did come to over $14 which seems a little pricey. This little spot has everything going for it as i can see. I just hope this gets resolved before the summer crowds show up.This is the kind of place i would like to see more...
