Update: visited the evening of Wednesday May 8th but left review on May 11th.
You go here for the meat and not so much for potatoes or other items. Their spuds for the Stuffed Spud isn't restaurant sized but is equivalent to what you buy at your local grocery store (restaurants are given the ability to purchase the overly large potatoes that are nearly impossible to find in grocery stores). Their Cowboy Salad with Pulled Pork and no beans tasted great but is on the dry side. If you ordered Ranch dressing with your salad then you will have to retrieve the ranch from near the fountain drinks. Which is nice that you can take as many as needed but would have been nice to know when they dropped off the food at the table. The BBQ sauce is also only available near the fountain machine but is fun to retrieve since the dispenser is imitating milking a cow. The decor is fitting for a BBQ joint with plenty of taxidermy mounts and rustic wood finishings and furniture. There is even a decent sized Brown Bear in a standing position near the front entrance, which is great for photo opts. Their bar is large and well lit with plenty of seating and seems to be the focus of the interior. There is even outdoor seating however the outdoor seating is directly next to the smoker and is very smoky even near the end of the day and could cause problems for individuals with breathing issues. Thankfully the interior is not as smoky as the parking lot, which worried us upon arrival due to my wife being on oxygen tanks and having limited lung function. Service is pretty much nonexistent, besides when you place your order when you walk in and when someone drops off the food at your table. So there is no need to leave a tip when ordering your food upon arrival. Since this was our first time to this location we asked if there would be any wait staff service while in the process of paying since the Yukon location has waiting staff and this location was asking for a tip upon paying on arrival. We were informed someone would check on us while we eat so we left a tip only to be completely ignored by the staff even when leaving the restaurant. The person who dropped off the food didn't confirm the order was correct or even inform us about where to find the condiments such as the salad dressing. Drink refills are self service and are located on the east side of the restaurant. The staff members present visibly looked unhappy and were having bad days as per their own words when chatting with their friends who stopped in. This location is a completely different experience (in a bad way) then the Yukon Bad Brad's location and seems to only share a similarity...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I called in regards to my food being given away to someone else and the customer service I received was absolutely horrible. Someone yelled at me and cursed me out and then proceeded to hang up in my face. Then proceeded to say I was rude as a reason not to replace my food or money. I do not do arguing or drama I just can not take the stress. As a African American times are already difficult as it is I will not let something as simple as BBQ ruin my day. My food was not replaced even after being offered a gift card then being told I could not receive the gift card so I was lied to. The food may be okay but the customer service is lacking a bunch. I feel rather disturbed the way I was treated. I do not think anyone should be treated the way I was it is one thing to not replace food but it another to disrespect an honorable customer who has spent money at an establishment for a long time. I think it is safe to say me and my family will spend our money somewhere else where customer service is top priority. I am okay with my food not being replaced I only wish that the way the message could have been delivered were a bit more professional. I find it very unprofessional for an establishment to speak to customers like I was spoken to. Very very...
Read moreTen years ago, Bad Brad's was my first exposure to Oklahoma BBQ, so it occupies a special place in my heart. Going back many years later, having eaten tons of delicious BBQ all over the state, I find that it still holds up incredibly well.
First, the service is excellent. Attentive, friendly, and helpful, you can't ask for better. We ordered a couple of huge combination plates so we could try a bunch of different things. The pork ribs are exactly what they should be: tender with a bit of chew, not dry, excellent rub, lots of smoke but not too much. These are some of the best ribs I've had in the state. My sliced brisket was moist, but very lean; I prefer a fattier cut for best flavor and tenderness. Again, good rub, good smoke, only hurt by the cut of meat. The burnt ends could also stand to be a bit fattier for my taste, but they're also quite good. Sides are top notch, none of that good meat and forgettable everything else here. We had the potato salad (excellent), baked beans (very good) and fried okra (awesome). Overall, still very highly recommended as an excellent example of Oklahoma BBQ. If you're in Stillwater, you...
