Salty Slab Meat Market — Restaurant in Stockdale

We had a mixup trying to order through Doordash. Doordash informed us 40 minutes after the order was placed, that the restaurant was "unable to fulfill our order". We called the restaurant directly and quickly realized the order had never gone through to the restaurant. Ralph, the owner, apologized for the inconvenience, took our order, then delivered it himself, promptly. He was beyond courteous, and went above and beyond. As a business owner myself, I can't speak highly enough about the level of professionalism and amazing service represented by Ralph and this establishment! The cherry on the cake? I was a little disappointed with the food. Fries were soggy and did not taste good at all. Other family members were disappointed, as well, as some food was burnt. Paid too much.... service was good. I was hungry while traveling through this area and found Salty Slab on Google maps. It had great reviews, so we added a stop. Heads up! We never saw the sign, so had to turn around and almost missed it again. Glad we didn't because it was so good! I ran in and ordered what another reviewer mentioned - salad with Philly cheesecake as the protein. Service was very friendly and they delivered it to my car. The salad was fantastic - a generous serving of crisp, fresh greens topped with steak, cheese, and grilled onions and peppers. The ranch on the side was really good ranch.
