Not your typical pizza, but The Goat’s Detroit-style is right up my alley! Finally made our first in-person visit to this fine restaurant on Main Street in Stockertown, and the Goat did not disappoint! (Warning: These photos include a delicious substance called “char” which may offend some people). The pizza’s cheese pull was creamy and inspiring. The zesty, chunky sauce made me want more (will ask for a bowl on the side next time). And the perfectly charred, cheese covered crust provided the crunch in every bite I love about NY-style pizza. We also treated ourselves to two flavors of The Goat’s very unique and dangerous dessert, Oreo and Reese’s Sour Bread Dough Grilled Cheese! I preferred (the secret, not in the menu yet) Reese’s, as it included a dark chocolate spread, marshmallow fluff, melted along with the mascarpone cheese between the perfectly crisp sour dough slices. Photo doesn’t do justice, but I totally enjoyed this treat. To compensate for the meal to come, 4 of us started off by sharing a super/tasty Caesar Salad that appealed to all my taste buds perfectly. We arrived for an early dinner after a hike at nearby Jacobsburg Park. The parking lot was packed, but we found a spot right away. After a 20 minute wait, we were escorted to a very nice, dining area with lots of room between tables (unlike the parking). Our server was fun, prompt and great. And the decor of the Greatest Of All Taverns (G.O.A.T.) featured portraits of legendary performers and athletes. Congrats to Sam Ashton and his partners for creating a very enjoyable and unique pizza dining experience in the Lehigh Valley!

Came for dinner with family (group of 4) on a Tuesday night around 7pm, and we were able to get seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I wasn’t planning on having a drink with the meal, but I noticed they had a chocolate peanut butter old fashioned as the monthly drink special and had to try it. It was quite good! We got three pizzas and a cheesesteak to share, which was more than enough for four people. The pizza here is Detroit Style, and it is executed very well. It’s got a nice thick dough with a nice chew to it but also some pillowy lightness to it. The cheese is loaded on all the way to the edge of the pan, giving you the nice caramelized crispy edges. I mostly had the 700 Main Pie, which has sausage and peppers in addition to the cheese and sauce. I thought it was a really good combo - only complaint is that the menu claimed it had “roasted peppers”, but the peppers didn’t really seem very roasted. The Goat Pie was also very tasty, with the goat cheese being the star of that pizza and being well complimented by the apples and caramelized onions. Would’ve loved to see just a few more caramelized onions on top though. I also had a bit of the cheesesteak, which was delicious. The cheese melted beautifully with the beef and onions for a perfect bite, and the fries that came with it were pretty good too. We ended up taking a lot of the pizza home, and I’m looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow!

Been following this place in Facebook for a while and finally got to visit them. To start the staff it's great, very attentive and friendly. The cleanest of the restaurant it's superb, constantly cleaning and wipe downs the tables in special during this covid. The food was great, we started with mozzarella sticks & sweet n spicy wings. Both were cook perfectly. The mozzarella sticks seasoning paired with the sauce, delicious. The wings very flavorful and crispy and delicious. I got the Crab sandwich and my wife got the classic pie, both were delicious. We finished the date with a oreo grille cheese and and apple crisp. I got the oreo and was unusual and I love it ! The taste was so good ! My wife loved the apple crisp too. I highly recommend this place, amazing chill atmosphere. Nice music on the background (Not too loud) you can still have a conversation without the need to raise your voice. I saw reviews about the parking but when we went was plenty spaces open but I can see that during busy times parking could be a little inconvenient. But overall this place it's fantastic on my book.

These are not my own words, but I was there for this amazing experience. I agree with everything #rushieeats about every word of his review!

I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter on the foodie wire, regarding The GOAT Pub & Pie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s all true! Amazing Detroit style pizza. One pie with caramelized onions, thick cut bacon and two Sunny eggs. Another done with locally sourced Italian sausage. Both pies were absolute aces ♠️ Great crust, fabulous cheese, sensational dough and down right delicious sauce. Presentation was on point. The wings 🍗 were ordered hot garlic. Impressive. I have a new favorite wing, top of the heap in the Lehigh Valley! I was told they brine the wings in advance of frying; they were tender, moist, and crispy. Loaded fries were a big hit with my group. The 🍟 fries were house cut, loaded with a great cheese blend and topped with a very nice thick cubed 🥓 bacon. I think the fries could be even more spectacular with some sour cream and scallion on top. The cheesesteak: Cooper Sharp cheese 🧀 and onions. It was a very good grade of meat, even cheese and very good flavor. The roll was slightly toasted, which led to a excellent level of #BunIntegrity. I would suggest this steak to be easily on a top ten list in the Lehigh Valley. I’ll leave that up to Lehigh Valley Cheesesteak Connoisseurs 😁 The steak overall had great flavor and checked every box for me. We had great service and were getting recommendations from the owner — who spent a lot of time talking to us (I like that a lot). They just opened this past April! The staff said I had to try the Oreo grilled cheese. I said ok, give us two… and #takemymoney on that SOB! Very creative & one of those things you just gotta try. Kids will want this for a meal! The 19th Hole, off the cocktail menu🍹 was a nice refreshing beverage after being outside all day: Tito’s Vodka, grape 🍇 juice, lime and frozen grapes. Overall experience was excellent. Service was easily gold standard quality. We rolled in five deep close to 10pm. We had a very memorable experience. This place is a pretty good value for the quality as well. It’s a #rushieeats rising star, and a proven...
