Absolutely horrible. Was so excited to try a new place close to home. Walk in follow the signs to order at the bar. Pat for my food give the server/bartender 20$ tip. Waited for my sodas she walked away. So I figured they would bring them to me. Big mistake after 10 minutes I went back and grabbed our soda. Our food was ready and sitting in the window for 10 plus minutes. I had to eye the server for over 5 minutes for her to realize it was ready and waiting. The cool was pacing and rang the bell multiple times. One serve was talking to a customer at the bar and on was printing things for the same person. My side salad was hot not cold or room temp. I had ask for it before the meal but as u can tell. It did not happen. It sat under the heat lamp and you could tell. My husband's sliders were cold. Mac and cheese also and his slaw was hot. I spent almost 40 plus the 20$ tip. Received no services and I am sure my food would of been good had it not sat in the window for as long as it did. Never checked back on us and didn't even knowledge us leaving. Sucks it was such a horrible experience. I was looking for a new place to entertain my clients and family who come from Far away. I learned my lesson to never tip ahead of time and to never go back. I would give it 0...

If you only read one review, read this one! OMG, this place is the best kept secret in NW Illinois!! Let me start off with the service! The service was spectacular! For starters, my wife is a bit of a mac & cheese snob. She asked about the mac and cheese and they brought her a sample to try! A sample of mac and cheese!! It was phenomenal! Probably the best mac and cheese she's had since we moved up here! I wanted to try the brisket, so we compromised on the brisket mac and cheese wrap! It was so good! Amazing in fact! Then came the flight of beers. We couldn't pare it down, so the staff made us a custom flight! There were the 4 that we picked and then they added 3 more that they thought we would like. And wouldn't you have it, the spiced vanilla pumpkin ale was our absolute favorite!!! It is the best pumpkin ale you'll ever have! Hands down! Our elderly dachshund was welcomed on the back patio and we were treated with the utmost respect and service!! Overall, it was the best experience in NW Illinois we've ever had!! Service: 12/10! Food: 12/10! Beer: 12/10! Chris and Jim were the best hosts we could ever ask for!!! You'd be crazy if you're in the area and don't visit Mud Run! We seriously can't wait to go back there!!! Overall experience:...

Didn’t know these guys were here till we did a search for brewery on our way back to Chicago. We are very glad we did. Sliders were excellent and the beers were great. I especially like the salted caramel apple. It was crisp with a hint of sweet but nothing too overpowering. Environment was great. Our bartender, who was super hospitable and attentive, explained that the space used to be a movie theater and it had burnt down at one point which explains the cool colors of the wood floors. He also chose my beer flight and I liked them all. I definitely recommend this place, it’s worth the 3 minute drive off the...

Excellent place whether you are looking for a great selection of fantastic craft beers or some amazing food. Chris who took care of us was courteous, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about the beers and food. The 2 ranch dressing connoisseurs in my family both said the ranch dressing (homemade like most of their other offerings) was amazing. Absolutely will be stopping back in if we are ever near the area again. Chris is fantastic with customers and Kevin absolutely knows what he's doing in the brewery. Their kitchen crew crafts some amazing food as well!
