We visit/get takeout 2-3 times a year when camping with my parents, who rent an RV spot for 3-4 months in the summer. We attempted to call in our takeout order, but nobody answered. We went into the restaurant and ordered at the bar. The bartender was friendly and food came out quickly! My husband loves the hot wings. The ranch is great. The rest of us split a couple of brisket sandwiches that had plenty of meat piled on them. The fries were homemade and good, but could have been a little crispier. The green beans could use some work - seemed to be canned with some chunks of ham added. It looked like the fried chicken, which is offered on Wed and Sun, seemed to draw a crowd, but haven't tried it myself. Wanted to post some updated pics of the menu and prices since that helps me when ordering takeout (I didn't get the last page w fried chicken info.)

This is a place that will knock your socks off. From the facination with the decoration to the delicious mouth-watering BBQ always here waiting for you. If your NOT a BBQ fan they can accommodate you as well with a pretty vast menu to choose from. Kids menu is fantastic with I think 10 choices to choose from. Friendly, helpful staff will serve you all refreshing soft drinks, tea (sweet/unsweet), coffee, and a full bar to quench your thirst whatever it might be. The Boat House also has a pool table, outdoor seating complete with smoking(outside only), and has amazing breathtaking sunsets. I go EVERY TIME that I'm in town. Also, ask about catering and back room availability for parties. Don't forget about Boat House in Rich Hill MO., if your in that neck of the woods.

This place was amazing. My husband is a Chef in Lake Ozark and we are foodies. Everything about this place was Awesome. We had 2 appetizers, 3 meals my husband had 2 lg draft beers and I had 3 high moons our bill was only 83$. The picture is all the food we took home😁 We will definitely drive the hour to the Boat House again. My only suggestion is to get a block of white Velveeta throw it in a crock pot with some Rotel and use that as your queso for the pork nachos ( up nachos a buck or even a buck in half) or just use shredded melted cheese.86 the cheese you are using.

The environment is very busy, but interesting and creative. The menu was just as busy as the environment. The service, at least on the Saturday night that we went, was very, very slow. After pondering the menu, which we were given more than ample time to do, we finally ordered. I ordered the Showboat, which was described in the menu as a smoked potato piled high with butter, sour cream, cheese and choice of brisket or pork. Well, it may have been piled high, but it was with margarine, sour cream, some cheese and a sprinkle (really just a SPRINKLE) of meat. So this dressed up baked potato was nine dollars. Sorry, but I can go to Wendy's and get it for a fraction of that price. Seriously, just not impressed. The other dish we ordered, the Saturday Night Special, which remained a surprise until the waitress finally came back to our table to take our order, was just so-so. There was a lot of fat in the meat, and the side dishes were very small. The prices reflect a really nice restaurant but the actual food leaves a lot to be desired. Disappointed and when we went to pay they added 4% for...

Y'ALL. We came to Stockton from the Peoria, IL area for a wedding at the cabins, but we came in from the other side of the way, so we didn't even know the Boat House existed. When we were visiting family the next day, they were RAVING about this BBQ joint that they HAD to have for lunch, as they grabbed to go the night before. I LOVE a good BBQ. As my wife, daughter, and dogs sat in the truck, I went in to order. THE SMOKEY SMELL IN THAT PLACE WAS LIKE SOMETHING FROM A DREAM! Let me tell you that I felt just like a regular sitting there at the bar figuring out and waiting for my order. They offered me a drink while I waited and we chatted like we'd known each other forever. They were like family. Don't even get me started on the food OMG it was delish. They hooked us UP with all the fixins too! We ordered a little buffet of: chicken tenders, brisket, pulled pork, cole slaw, potato salad, fries, a burger, and as stated by my kid just now, "And lots and lots and lots of sauces." 😆 10/10 recommend and...

We have been a few times over the years and at least the food has always met or exceeded our expectations, but nothing did last night! And we are not picky people. We went last night a recieved the worst service. We all got water except one of us and she didnt refill any if our drinks until our food was 90% gone. My husband ordered a mid-rare steak and paid $25 for it to come our well done and there was no one around to ask to fix it, so he ended up just eating the leather. I ordered the sea witch, which included scallops, but when I got the plate it was tiny, had a bunch of shrimp that started in a frozen bag for sure, and 4 "scallops" the size of my thumb nail, then 1 thin cod fillet that tasted like paste, and none of that would've been that big of a deal but that was $19... I hate to say we will never be back but between the terrible service and the ridiculous overall food experience, I don't know...
