Maybe we caught them on a bad day but it was not in any way a special experience. We were meeting friends in Stoystown and were early and so wanted to chill and have a bite. We walked in to the Lincoln Cafe and immediately felt like we were causing a problem. We wanted a table for two but were told all they had was one big table and they would have to seat others with us if necessary. No smiles, no “I am sorry seating is limited right now” just eye rolls and huffing and puffing. We said that would be fine and were seated by a server wearing an expression like she’d rather be anywhere else. We picked the place because it was described as good for small bites. So we got two drinks and an appetizer. “Is that it?” in a surly sort of way and off she stomped. The appetizer, cheese fries, was described on the menu as plenty for sharing. Not hardly. More like a glorified side. It was very good with great ingredients. That’s why they get three stars instead of two. They seated another gentleman with us and were no more polite and welcoming to him. As a matter of fact we just kind of watched and there was more irritation than courtesy out of the manager and waitstaff toward all the customers in there. While paying up we got a very dryly obligatory “how was everything” to which I said “OK” while thinking “why bother lady?” “Just give me my change and let me get out of here!”. Not a place we will be going back to on our visits...

I was at this restaurant over half a dozen times last summer and every time I said this will be the last time. Because of its close proximity to the Flight 93 Memorial it is convenient to go there with people I am taking to the memorial. This year I was hoping for better quality service and food. It was worse than last year the service is poor the food is pricey. This time lunch for two was over $25 we were the third couple in the restaurant after 35 minute wait and watching the two other couples get their food in bags individually and at least 5 minutes apart so they could not eat together we got up and left. I told them I was leaving and would never be back they could keep my $25. If you want pricey food that tastes Bland and you don't mind the wait then go...

Nearest Restaurant to Flight 93 Memorial. Serves lunch 11:00am - 4:00 pm weekdays, 11:00 - 8:00 on Weekends. Closed Wed.11:00. Casual setting. Inside seating for about 20 with plenty of outdoor picnic benches. Order food inside and carry outside on trays, or inside Table Service (if available). Food served in baskets with drinks from cans (with ice in cup) or from pitchers. Affordable prices with good quality food. I had "Smokehouse BBQ burger" with fries. Fries were fresh cut with skins and seasoned. Excellent! Hot and crunchy outside with creamy insides! Burger was hand-shaped 1/2 lb tender and juicy with Onion Ring and well flavored BBQ sauce. Best burger I've had for a while! Given its proximity to the Flight 93 Memorial it is...

Stopped on the way back from the Flight 93 Memorial and was lucky enough to get a seat at lunchtime. Service was amazing, one lady running the show and was doing everything but you could tell she had done it that way for years and had it down to a science. Had the bbq sandwich which was the special of the day and wish I would have eaten it slower to savor it. It was SO good. Husband said the pizza was “pretty damn good.” Also tried the black Joe cupcake which was amazing. When I asked what it was she said it was her grandmothers recipe with a cup of coffee (Joe) in the batter. A must stop if you are in the area.

The owner clearly cares a ton about having an excellent experience for everyone who comes through the door. Friendly, personable and kind. Menu is selected with care, and high quality ingredients along with skill go into the preparation of the food. It’s like eating at home, if home was perfectly clean and tidy - and you had a chef in your kitchen. The cucumber salad was among the best I’ve ever had. The Italian hoagie was fresh, satisfying, and a perfect assortment of flavor. The ham and mustard was excellent with perfect bread. Potato salad was perfectly balanced.

The service was very speedy and the waitress did a very good job for the amount of customers she was waiting on. The food was very tasty and was not straight off of the truck. The atmosphere was very homely and I really enjoyed the decor. The prices were extremely reasonable and considering I was coming from DC they were downright cheap. It was worth the visit and would highly recommend you make the trip. If you go to the Flight 93 you need to stop at the Lincoln Cafe on the Lincoln Highway. Extraordinary food great price.
