Indian Curry House is a wonderful hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and a perfect addition to the Stoughton food scene.
The Good: The staff is amazingly attentive to dine-in customers, and are willing to work with each person on their spice tolerance. The food is served hot and quickly, and is quite delightfully flavorful!
The Bad: Really, there's only two points that qualify for this part of the review - the space can be charitably described as "intimate", featuring a total of three four-person tables and one larger table in an alcove. The other is that the drinks arr self-service cans and bottles, but I've never been quite sure if they cost for "refills". Both are very minor points, but important to mention.
All in all, I don't think the bad points are enough to detract from a final score of five stars. If you want Indian and don't want to venture all the way to Madison, this is a perfect place to get your fix - and even including Madison, I'd argue they're in the running for best curry in...
Read moreDelicious in every way, but entirely too stingy with the rice, especially for the price of the food. I have ordered takeout and eaten in. Both times I had delicious dishes. First I got take out. They gave a small half cup of rice for three entrees. I thought it was just because I got takeaway, but even dining in I only got a small dish of rice for the two entrees my friend and I ordered. I loved the chicken madras, the palak paneer, the Amul cheese naan, and the aloo gobi. The lamb rogan josh had a good flavor, but was very soupy - again needing more rice than was given. The samosas were spicier than I was expecting, even as a person that loves spice. Be warned! I liked that you can change the spice level of the entrees. I like really spicy food and the highest amount of spice did not disappoint. Overall, the food is great, and the restaurant is definitely a great addition to Stoughton, but it is expensive. Rice is cheap and providing more of it would help make it feel like a...
Read moreSome of the best Naan and certainly the best Samosa I have had in a while. Place may not look like much from the outside but once you walk in, you are hit with the good smells and join a crowd of people popping in and out to get orders or to dine in. Almost the entire time we were there, the phone would start ringing almost as soon as they set it down because someone else wanted to place an order. We ordered both the Garlic Naan and Amul Cheese Naan. They were well-seasoned and packed with the good stuff. The Samosa was very fragrant and chock full of flavor. The chuttanies were on point. As far as entries, this time we only ordered the Dal Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were excellent and came with plenty of perfectly cooked rice. Lastly, we ordered a Mango Lassi to drink and loved it.
