Copperhead Saloon & Grill — Restaurant in Stratford

Really hate to be honest but Feel honesty is best and hopefully this will get them to fix some stuff. I know they had recently fired and hired a bunch of staff, but not to have them fully trained or know what to do when you are a new bar/restaurant plus with busy nights. We had to wait and watch for spot to seat ourselves. Also had to clean and bust our own table. Staff was busy at the bar serving people at the bar or flirting. They had plenty of people working the bar. Food took forever and server was slow and busy paying attention to other people. ( Mainly guy’s at the bar, alone with other staff) other people sat and waited and food took forever and heard them complaining also. Was a little expensive for food that we had to wait on that normally wouldn’t take long and the service was beyond horrible. But when we did get our food it was pretty good. If they can get the service better and work all that out.. I think it will be a great place.. I have been a bartender and understand working busy, customer service, (flirting for tips) etc but when you have enough staff don’t neglect your customers eating and work as a team. The food was edible but not enjoyable. The atmosphere is great, cool decor and live music. The waitstaff was polite but not experienced or efficient. If they were provided trays they could serve an entire table at once instead of making half of the group (the kids) wait another 5 minutes staring at the food that was delivered. I was the most upset though about having all of our kids food thrown away when we went to the bathroom. We weren't even offered take out boxes. So we walk out of the bathroom and the kids see their food is gone, but not the adults food, and instantly started crying. There were phones and full plates of food left on the table and we didn't even have the bill. They knew full well we didn't leave. There happens to be one particular waitress there who is unable to be mature and polite and encourages the same behaviors in others. This is really disappointing as I was looking forward having a place in town to eat out but after this first experience I will not be going back.

UPDATE: The owners reached out to me very quickly with open ears and we had a nice conversation. They seem to genuinely care about their customers and have (I feel) addressed my concerns. I look forward to giving this local business...

Tuesday 6/14. Arrived around 6:20pm, sat down ordered drinks ,the drinks came pretty quickly. Waitress came for food order, food came out piece meal for the 4 of us, the 5th (kids chicken strips) came out only after 2 request to waitress and cook) and after 7:20pm. 2 pieces of chicken and apple sauce WOW!! Cook stated he was training a new person, but food that was deep fried was over done and near burnt. Ask they reduce bill for kids meal and they did that, but won't be back for food...
