They answered phone promptly, but then said hold on and I waited for 3 minutes for someone to come back to the phone and take my order.
Now, when I was looking at the menu online (thru my phone) pizzas are all listed with just one price, so I asked for the special house pizza-which shows a price of $16.99 on the online menu.
The woman asked what size I wanted, and I replied, "I want the size that's $16.99 on the menu." She then asked, personal or large?, and I repeated, "whichever one is $16.99 on the menu." (The menu online doesn't say what size you get for the price.)
Got home, had 2 slices (it was okay, but Front Row is much better!) then realized the receipt says Hawaiian pizza for $16.99 with a $7 upcharge for large.
When I called and told the woman this, she didn't sound embarrassed or apologize or anything. She just talked in circles, and so I just let it go...
I know the place is new, but when someone asks repeatedly for the $16.99 pizza, she should tell me that the $16.99 one is for a personal pan pizza and would I like a large for $7 more.
Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the service, and the pizza was just okay. I'll try it again in a few months to see if they've worked out the kinks as I hate to review a new restaurant, because you often aren't getting a true picture of how they would operate once they get...
Read moreIt was my first time there and the place had been open for less than a week, I will definitely return and edit my review when I do. Here is the positive : the food was really great, very tasty, great quality ingredients and prepared with care. Both the pizza and the salad were awesome, definitely above what is usually served at local take out places. There are a few tables but it is a basic setup and you get plastic utensils if you choose to dine in. The not-so-great : there were two people waiting for their to go orders in front of us, we chose to dine in and the salad with chicken came after 15 minutes, there was a mix up with another order but it was quickly solved. The pizza didn't come right away, after a while someone came asking what I had ordered, the pizza finally was brought to me, more than 30 minutes after my friend's salad... I understand issues can happen, especially at a newly opened restaurant, I was expecting at least a quick apology, and maybe a coupon for next time or a free drink or something to make up for the long wait. When we left the table next to us had been waiting for their meal for over a half hour and some people waiting to get their takeout orders were getting impatient too. There is definitely room for improvement here, I hope things become smoother with time because the food is...
Read moreWhen I arrived at Pepe Nero restaurant I was weary and hungry! I knew it was newly opened and I was curious.... I was delighted to meet the owner George and his lovely helper at the register who introduced me to him. They were extrememly friendly and welcoming with joy! At George's suggestion, I tried the Beef Shawarma wrap. It was cooked and brought out to me quickly - hot and wrapped well to eat easily. It was absolutely delicious! George shared that it is his family's tradition to cook and share their authentic Lebanese dishes as a service and gift offering to our community. They all do so with love and care. It is obvious George is a good and faithful man who is creating great value in feeding and nourishing the public -one meal at a time- and is investing goodness in us all! The flavor profile of the wrap was exquisite -which surprised me, (not necessarily expected from a small Mom and Pop type restaurant). I was well fed and my soul was nourished! I strongly recommend you visit and meet George and his crew, and most of all, partake in their nicely affordable real Middle Eastern cookery... you will be glad you did! Thank...
