I visited this restaurant on a Sunday around 5PM. It is located next to the Boulder Creek golf course attached to the pro shop. The outside is small at boasts it was established in 2019. Upon entering, the interior is quite a surprise. Upscale cabin meets whiskey barrel room. Everything is chic and clean. Bar is large and accommodating in appearance. Dining area is small may seat 50 at max capacity. Upon entering a sign displaying the specials is visible and a seat yourself sign. The menu is comprehensive yet fits the restaurant size. A wide variety of appetizers are on menu including fried pickle spears, fried mushrooms, bruschetta, burnt ends, mozzarella wedges etc. Entrees range from burgers and sandwiches, wings and quesadillas, to ribs, steaks, pasta, fish, and salads. We ordered bruschetta, spaghetti and meatballs, and a full slab of ribs. Our meals came with an excellent side salad that featured cheese, onion, croutons, cucumber, tomato. The ranch dressing was very good as well. Bruschetta arrived next. It is a cold bruschetta on crostini with herb cream cheese. It was excellent mild sweet very fresh and a good balsamic drizzle. Our entrees arrived shortly after and looked amazing. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. They are not smoked but grilled and the sauce was sweet with a mild tang. The rice I received as a side was ok but the coleslaw was exceptional. The spaghetti and meatballs were very good as well. The sauce and meatballs reportedly are homemade. I was very pleased. Finally the waitress and bartender were incredibly nice and checked in frequently. They checked in periodically without being smothering. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish them the best. My wife and I agree this is our new favorite local restaurant.

The food here is insane on the portion sizes especially for the price. The food is also very decent. The chicken parm was moist and very flavorful the tomato sauce was quite acidic but I didn't mind that with all the chicken and cheese on it. The chicken on it was massive nearly the size of the plate. The beef tips and gravey was very savory and well seasoned on the beef gravey. The potatoes was bland but mix them with the gravy and they're fine. The sampler app was quite good. The stand out being the burnt ends. They was fall apart tender. The bruschetta flat bread was also surprisingly good. The tomatoes on it was well seasoned and fresh tasting. The Mac and cheese is the biggest let down it does taste like stouffers frozen mac dinners. But, I would also like to commend this place on the fact its an open concept restaurant that's not obnoxiously loud. There is some smart design choices here in the layout to give it an open look but dampened the sound. Don't be fooled by the fact this is attached to a golf course its truly a hidden gem in streetsboro.

I really wanted to love this place, but for $60 I was so disappointed. The chicken parmigiana was dry and the sauce tasted like straight canned crushed tomatoes, bitter and off-putting. Definitely would’ve been more suited for bar fried mozzarella sticks than an Italian dish. The chicken fritter was equally dry and tasted like old fryer oil. The house ranch was about the only good thing about tonight. No salt or pepper on our table, the waitress was kind, but she wasn’t very attentive— and set items down right in front of our baby. To top it all off there was an “admin fee” on our bill when presented to us. No explanation. If this is a credit card fee, I’m plenty certain your food cost covers the 3% fee your processor charges you. This cost is part of doing business, it shouldn’t be passed on to your customers, and at the very least perhaps it should be mentioned.

I've eaten here quite a few times. I must say I was slightly disappointed in the food this time. The chicken parm was bland really no flavoring to the sauce I've had it in the past and enjoyed it, this time not so much. The creamy Cajun pasta with shrimp is more like soup, way too much sauce. The strip steak was cooked okay but tough which also has been had in the past and was good but not this time. The burnt ends were some of the best I've had in a long time. Our server Adam deserves more than five stars for service. He had an excellent attitude very polite and an excellent approach to customers. I've never noticed until now the jukebox that was on the wall. Someone was paying to play music on it ,The music wouldn't be stuff I would possibly listen to but, If you are going to complain about the choices that someone is paying to play then maybe you shouldn't have that jukebox there. The music was country but also some other music some alternative so there was a variety being played. But I guess the usual drunks at the bar had an issue with it. Just put some speakers in pick music to play and leave it at that. Take out Adams excellent service And I would have to read it as a very disappointing experience. Which is something I would not think I would be saying about Barrel Lodge because I generally have only good things to say about the place. I would hope it can be chalked up to just...

Took my wife there for our anniversary tonight, along with my daughter and her husband. We had the clam bake, spaghetti and meat balls. the barrow burger and chicken marcella. I ate 2 mouthful's of the chicken marcella and I was done. The linquine was saturated with the sauce which was unlike any other marcella sauce i have had and it was over powering and not good. My daughter took a bite of her hamburger and saw that i did not like my meal at all and asked if I wanted her hamburger because she didn't want it. I tried a bite and gave it back to her. She asked what I thought and I said it was the worst burger I have ever eaten. She laughed and said she agreed. It was red inside it and tasted like it was a frozen burger that was pre cooked and sitting on the side of the grill and warmed up. It really wasn't good. A waitress asked if we wanted boxes and my daughter said no and I said no. She picked up the uneaten hamburger and uneaten chicken marcella and said sorry you did not like it. Never asked about the uneaten hamburger. No one came by and asked how our meals were after they were brought out. Of course they charged for all four meals even though two meals were bad enough that they were not eaten and no one wanted to bring them home. A waste of my money. Will...
