DO NOT GO HERE! I REPEAT... DO NOT GO HERE! Let's say it wasn't a very Merry Christmas meal. We decided to give this place a try because they were open on Christmas. We had a party of 4 and one other table was there. So, they weren't busy. We flagged down out waitress 3 times for drinks. I had to return my bacon from my buyer because it was RAW! I asked for well done. I even joked that it could be just a smidge away from burnt. She returned with undercooked bacon a second time! 🤦 By the time I received my cooked bacon everyone was done eating and I had taken a bite of my burger. That was ice cold in the center. I asked if there was anyways I could just have one made with the toppings on the side. It was 9:30 and the kids were ready to go after a long day in the snow. She said fine and walked away. We waited and waited and waited some more... She comes back with the check. She charged us for not only the original ice cold nightmare burger but the remake that we hadn't even received! I asked called her back over and asked for a manager. She said fine and walked away. At a few minutes before 10, she came back out to say she couldn't find a manager. I told her that I wasn't going to pay for something that wasn't right. It's not like I ate the food and then complained. She walked away again and then shortly after a manager showed up. I explained what had happened and he said no problem. The burger came out after we had received the bill with just the original burger on it. At that point I just wanted to leave and get the kids to bed. I popped open the box and it looked okay. After paying $16 AND wasting 45+ minutes... I get back to the hotel and the burger is BURNT! I know it was done out of spite. I'm so glad that the experience you gave to a couple celebrating their first Christmas without a deployment in 4 years! You turned a wonderful day into a miserable evening! I will NEVER recommend this place and I will tell anyone who will listen... DO...
Read moreWe stopped in for dinner on 10/20/18. It was a Saturday night and the place was very busy. Still, we were able to get seated right away. From there, it was all down hill. It took awhile for our server to show up. We placed drink orders and our drinks did show up in a reasonable amount of time...sort of. Two in our party had ordered fountain drinks. Our server returned to tell us that the machine was broken. Not a huge deal. They just ordered water instead. Their waters took awhile to show up. We placed our food order and waited. And waited. And waited. We didn't see our server again until 40 minutes after we had placed our order and then it was only because we managed to flag her down. We asked about our order and she said "it takes some time". No kidding. She then told us that she had just checked on our order and that it would be out in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, we managed to flag down a manager. The two teens in our party had ordered only caesar salads. He said he could rush the salads out and, true to his word, they showed up a few minutes later. That still left the entrees for the other three in our party unaccounted for. After another 15 minutes (now an hour and 15 minutes after ordering) we had had enough. We left enough cash to cover what we had gotten and left. As we were getting ready to leave, food was delivered to the party behind us. Evidently, it was a slow night all around as we heard their server apologize to them for the wait. We saw another table send a dish back because it was cold. The plates that we saw (being delivered to other tables) looked good. Wish we could have had a chance to try the...
Read moreNot trying to be rude but just an honest review here. Went to this restaurant because reviews and photos looked good but I think they are outdated. Maybe the chef or management has changed. The service was fine but the food quality was very sub standard. The Back County Burger was just a patty with black beans on top and fries for $17. The Roasted Salmon with Winter Vegetable Stew was the most expensive menu item. It was decent and cooked well but but lacking creativity and not worth the money. When you enter the restaurant, it looks outdated and you’re hit with a smell that I thought was fresh sourdough. When we sat down and noticed there was no sourdough bread listed I thought, huh that’s odd. At the end of the day, it’s ok to serve any type of food you want, but to charge prices indicative of a high quality dining experience is not genuine. We thought we might be an outlier experience, but then overheard the table behind us rating their meal quality on a scale of 0 to 10, and they started by defining that 0 was inedible, 1 was edible but regrettable, 2 was edible but not enjoyable and so on. Their rating were 7 for the po’ boy, 4 for the gumbo, and 2 for another item that I didn’t catch...
