I am new to the Sturgis Rally, but I don’t believe Full Throttle is. I would expect readiness for an annual event in which dates are known well in advance. I purchased a 3-day event pass for three concerts. The times stated 6 pm, the events didn’t begin until 7:30 pm. No opening acts were known, main show after 9 pm. The first night I left before the show because things were in disarray and no one had answers for times and the bridges for the concerts weren’t close to being completed and inspected. Welders and carpenters were still working, electric cords and materials amidst everyone. No ticket taker had answers and no one in charge came around. The grounds are 1/2 complete it appears with random pieces of materials laying around. The part that is complete, the pool, service department for motorcycles, and camper check-in building look awesome but I was there for the concert scene. I’m giving the Saloon a 4-star because of the cool industrial vibe. There does seem to be a lack of any management, it’s kinda dirty, and seems in disarray. Back to the 2nd night of concerts, Hank Williams Jr, night. Again, the bridges weren’t complete and few early on had answers; unless you are persistent in inquiring you would have stood in line not knowing you could go into the VIP area since the bridges weren’t open, initially. I witnessed one person in charge rudely telling an older gentleman who was handling wrist bands he was NOT to allow a barricade gate to be open (no threat to the situation at all to call for the construction or managers attitude. No communication to anyone trying to figure out where they should be to enjoy the show. Thankfully the show went off without a hitch, Hank was great. The bridges eventually were open for spectators. I paid to be on the bridge but since I’d been let in the VIP section in front of the stage I stayed. I would NOT recommend buying tickets for the bridges. They are far away from the stage and if crowded you won’t be able to see over those in front and down toward the stage. Finally I didn’t even go back for the third concert, Tesla, because the outdoor venue is completely missing a vibe for concerts. At least as it is at this years Sturgis Rally.

Long story short, I was greatly disappointed in the concert venues lack of completion,...

Happy to see this place has recovered from the fire a few years ago at the old location. Absolutely love the view from inside the covered bar in the middle of the saloon!

Had to bring a friend so he could check out all the old stuff. Then we had to go back another day because he forgot his camera ha ha! Looks like they brought a lot of it from the old location and restored it here and I noticed everything’s made of concrete and steel, including all the bars, I guess they’re not going to risk fire destroying everything again!

Bathrooms were clean, although I never did find one in the main building that had a door that locked lol.

A little disappointed that they’re the highest priced for apparel anywhere in the area we stopped in the last 10 days, and it certainly wasn’t top quality, although great graphics on the shirts.

Great atmosphere, beautiful women working scantily clad and I say that as a woman myself. The ladies working here have some class and they’re all very helpful with information if you have questions. It’s just disgusting watching some of the men and how they treat these women.

Food vendors, pretty good. I really liked the one right inside the outside covered bar. It was run by some people from one of the nearby reservations I believe, sorry, I can’t remember the name but excellent food excellent lemonade!

They have a huge huge parking lot and it always appears full but if you look hard, you’ll find a spot. We were on bikes I honestly don’t remember seeing any vehicles at all and the parking lot was full all three days that we were there starts to clean out around seven or so and then you got a new crowd coming in for the evening entertainment. Speaking of entertainment. They have some pretty great rock ‘n’ roll bands in the first part of the bar and then in the covered outdoor bar it was music being played mostly country from what I can tell and then there was the concert bowl we never stayed for that so I can’t comment.

All I can say is if you’re in the area you got a stop in here just to have a look around. It’s a pretty great experience, whether you’re a...

Mixed feelings on my experience. Went here for the Disturbed concert at the 85th rally. I had a good time and was excited for it. Spent my money on a ticket for the new bridge area. I did think the above open views of the whole area were pretty darn cool and you had excellent views of the stage. You really felt the music and it was cool. But only if you got there early and stayed at your spot against the railing the whole time. Leave for an expensive drink and lose your spot and that good view. Now there’s some negatives. No available seating on the bridges, some folks brought their own folding chairs which started heckling that those chairs took up space. Some folks with bad backs or older were able to get the bartender to bring them a chair. Some people like me sat down on the bridges after your feet got sore.

Staff at the entrance told me where to park. And then when I said I had a digital ticket let me inside and told me to get a wrist band at the table. No security checks, no verify with ID, and I had no idea what table and wandered around for a bit until I found it who again just handed me a wristband after I showed them my phone. Sketch vibes..

Music was louder than the singing so it was sometimes hard to hear the lead singer of Disturbed. But the pyrotechnics was awesome. Supposed to start at 10 but didn’t start til 10:30 so some people had to leave early to catch the shuttles at 12.

I was kinda creeped out when I left at the end and there was no security or anyone at the entrance. You just walk along the dirt road to the parking lot in the dark which also had no one in it. Risky for people alone.

Not sure I’d come again. Finally saw Disturbed and that was...
