Shady Oaks Country Club — Restaurant in Sublette Township

Went to golf 18 hole on 5/26/18 to be told the back 9 were closed due to an outing and we would have to play the front 9 twice. That should have been mentioned when making the reservation. Carts were filthy. Beer cans, cigarette butts, all sorts of garbage. Finally found a cart that only had a couple cans. Golfed 9 and and decided I was done. Asked if I could get a refund or a credit for 9 in the future and was told they don't do rainchecks. I would understand if the back nine were open but they inconvenienced us.. Awesome experience! A family member who owns a home in Woodhaven Lakes invited me out and was pleasantly surprised. Beautifully manicured greens, great price and peaceful experience with very few other golfers out on the course. The course is very challenging due to the narrow fairways, small greens and large mature trees guarding dog leg lefts and rights. What a fun and challenging course!! Well kept, very reasonably priced and friendly staff! Can’t wait to golf...

First time golfing at Shady Oaks and it did not disappoint! Lots of rolling hill areas and little by way of sand traps, which worked great for me! ;) The staff at the pro shop were super nice and gave as tips on navigating the course, which is VERY well marked. And, the maintenance crew was very nice and accommodating as we golfed; always stopping and/or shutting off their equipment. Very cushy seats on the golf cart as well.
