I couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars. The food was a little pricey for the quality, but it had a cute diner feel, more down to earth than other places. I order the baked fish (or broiled whichever isn't fried) and it came out fried. I said oh I ordered it baked (I never eat fried meats they upset my stomach) and was nice enough about it, and instead of the waitress saying oh I'm sorry I must have misunderstood let me get you a new plate, she says "no you ordered it fried I promise you i promise you that's what you said." That's when i told her i never eat fried meat and she said something along the same lines and kind of was saying she didn't know what she could do. I was SO embarrassed, i don't mind food being wrong mistakes happen but then she was loudly saying it was my fault. I Almost burst into tears because of being so embarrassed i couldn't even look at her. I just told her okay no problem and ate the sides on my plate. She ended up coming back a few minutes later and had completely changed her tune and I hated that she was making a big deal about it (being extra nice at this point) because it was like I had done something wrong like many customers who may throw a huge fit. If she would have just been like you know what let me get you a new plate and left it at that I would have been fine. Instead it was like "are you mad at me" etc etc which i don't like a lot of attention especially with the embarrassment from earlier. I checked with my fiancee even after we ordered and he heard me say baked/broiled, and said after she was saying there wasn't anything she could do he had given her an I'm really upset face and that's when she changed her tune. Lesson of the story is I don't mind food coming out wrong and it having to be fixed because mistakes happen, but I do mind being told I'm wrong and ordered it wrong a couple times and being embarrassed in a restaurant. First time that's happened to...
Read moreAfter much hype and anticipation, my husband and I were finally able to go and try this establishment. While I do understand that we chose to go on a Sunday evening and they were busy, I do not believe that was a reasonable explanation for our service or the lackluster food. We waited about 10 minutes before our waitress came to our table to greet us and ask for our drinks, etc. Our waitress spent more time in the kitchen than on the floor. And no, it had nothing to do with her tables (she only had four and the other three were finishing as we sat),or even actually helping the other waitstaff with their tables. We were primarily taken care of by another young woman who was helping the entire waitstaff out. We ordered a sampler appetizer and it was okay. Rather small servings for the price. For our main course we tried to order the Prime Rib but were only told at that moment, not when we were sat, that they were out. I believe this information should have been shared as we were sat so we knew not to expect it. So, we each chose the Medium Delmonico with a salad and loaded baked potato. After roughly 20+ minutes the other young lady brought out our steaks. ONLY the steak and said that the potatoes were still in the oven and she would bring them out when they were done. I would have been fine with knowing there was going to be a little wait with the meal because of the potatoes but, no. Just. The. Steak. And….it was the most flavorless piece of meat I have ever tasted. Complete disappointment. I paid quite a bit for lackluster food and service but I will not make that...
Read moreTonight was the second time I've eaten here. I wanted to review it the first time but I didn't. Here I am speechless by the food yet once again. The steak, the service, the salad, the moment you walk in your skeptical about the decor or layout you will soon regret those thoughts. I've never had a more family (my 15month old is a wild child) friendly environment followed by the most perfect steak. The sides are delicious and the salad is fresh. I'm a ranch snob and it was the best I've ever had. Both waitresses we had were incredible and on their A game. We seriously threw them every curve ball (not intentionally) and there wasn't a single complaint or attitude. You know a family business when you see one and I hope someday to bring my own grandkids here. Please go and support the locals. It's a choice you won't regret.
Also on a side note for when the owners read this. Please don't change a thing. It's obvious your staff loves you and you love your business. I wouldn't want you to update the decor because I'd always like to be able to get a table and I think you serve your local pop perfectly. Plus it makes you feel like your visiting home in a way that can't...
