One of the breakfast we visited while we were enjoying our short vacation in NH was Polly's Pancake Parlor. They had high ratings and interesting menu. It was a bit of driving from where we were staying, but we do travel for food!
They have a good size parking lot, but even then, it seems to fill up really fast. If you need a handicap parking spot, they have that right by the entrance.
The entrance opens up to a store, and with hostess station to the right. The restaurant is behind the hostess station. They do not take reservation, and they are famous for a long wait... What you can do is to call ahead, before you leave your home. They can put your name down on the wait list, and that will shorten your wait time.
The dining area is a pretty big area, with lots of seating. The walls had a window from the front to the back, bring in lots of natural light. The walls and floor were heavy in wood, including the furniture. It felt like a big wood cabin.
We ordered their Café du Jour, which was Mudslide Coffee, and Polly's Sampler Combo with sausage patties. The pancakes are not very large, but when you are getting six of them, it really was the perfect size. What I really liked about them the most was that they make three of the six pancakes first, and when you are about done with them, they make the other three. This way, you can always have pancakes that are fresh, fluffy, hot, straight outta griddle, awesome! Our waitress made a mistake with the second batch (mixed up the batter and add-ins), but with the order that can be customized so much, it can become quite confusing. She went back to make the pancake with correct batter and add-in combination without any issue.
We had a good breakfast here, it was fun, tasty, and interesting. It is good to be able to taste so many different flavors of pancakes, instead of committing to just one kind. The pancakes were small so that you won't get too full after having the first three of them. If you are in the area and if you love pancakes, give this place a try. I do truly recommend you to call ahead, so that you don't have to wait too long. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog,...

Ah, Polly's Pancake Parlor, where magic griddles its way onto every plate!
From the moment we walked in, the warm aroma of freshly-made pancakes beckoned. Now, my wife is no stranger to pancakes, and when she took that first bite out of her stack of three, it was as if the stars had aligned. With every mouthful, I could see her eyes light up with glee. The result? A second order of three, because some joys in life are just too good to resist.
Our kids, the usual food critics of the family, were unanimous in their verdict: full plates, happy faces, and an encore request for another platter of pancakes! A sight every parent rejoices in - happy kids with hearty appetites satiated.
And let’s talk about that syrup. Oh, that glorious, liquid amber. Not just a topping, but the crown jewel that turned each pancake into a royal treat. The symphony of flavors danced on our taste buds, making us wish we had a lifetime supply at home.
Before leaving, amidst the buzz of satisfied chatter, my kids, with syrup-laden grins, urged, “Dad, you HAVE to write an amazing review. This place deserves TEN stars!” While the digital realm might limit me to a mere five, in our hearts, Polly's is a galaxy of delight, twinkling with a perfect ten.
So, if you're seeking a pancake haven, look no further. Polly's isn't just a parlor; it's a...
Read moreI visited Polly's pancake parlor because I was told it was one of the best pancake places. I wasn't disappointed! The pancakes were good sized (maybe on the smaller side if you are accustomed to large pancakes) and delicious. I normally don't care much about pancakes because they are too sweet to be a breakfast food. But this pancake was saltier and almost not sweet, I would say perfect for breakfast. I think Polly's takes pride in their maple syrup, so I thought that they made the pancakes less sweet to compliment the maple syrup. They have many pancake options. I ordered plain, plain with blueberry and whole wheat. They were all good but I personally liked the whole wheat because it had some nice texture. I also ordered a cheese-less omelet with veggies. I loved the omelet. The most brunch omelets that I tried usually come with a lot of butter or dowsed in some type of oil and it is difficult for me to enjoy. But this omelet was surprisingly not greasy and the veggies were well done without using much oil. The scrambled eggs and bacon were nicely cooked. I'm the type of person who doesn't like typical American brunch because of the reasons mentioned above, but Polly's pancake parlor really made my day and restored my hope in healthy, less greasy and less sweet brunch food. Definitely recommend visiting or stopping by when...
