As returning customers, we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying Rodo Cuisine’s offerings multiple times, and once again, they did not disappoint. This time, we decided to try the goat meat pepper soup, moi-moi, and meat pie for a little snack feast—and every bite was absolutely worth it.
Let’s start with the goat meat pepper soup, which might just be the best we've had in Houston in years. The balance of spice was spot on—bold, but not overwhelming—and the goat meat was tender and flavorful. The broth was rich, and the combination of ingredients was perfect, really hitting all the right notes for a satisfying, hearty dish.
Next, the moi-moi was another standout. The texture was impeccable—smooth, well-blended, and incredibly delicious. It had that comforting, soft consistency we love.
Now, for the real treat: the meat pie. It instantly took us back to Nigeria with its rich, savory filling. It tasted just like the beloved Mr. Biggs meat pie, and we couldn’t help but have some nostalgic flashbacks while savoring every bite. The pastry was flaky, and the filling was generous and tasty, making it the perfect snack.
Delivery was prompt, and we were thrilled with how fresh everything arrived. Overall, our experience was nothing short of delightful. The quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the great service made every penny spent worth it.
Thank you, Rodo Cuisine, for yet another memorable meal! We'll definitely be...
Read moreWe recently ordered a pickup from Rodo Nigerian Cuisine and we couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. Ordering online was quick and seamless, with clear options for customizing dishes and special instructions. As soon as we arrived, our order was ready and neatly packed, exactly on time, which made the pickup process easy and efficient.
The staff was friendly and attentive, even for a pickup order. They took the time to double-check out order with us to make sure everything was perfect, which we really appreciated.
As for the food—it was simply fantastic, even in takeout form! Each dish was packaged thoughtfully to maintain the freshness and presentation. Our entire order was still warm, and the flavors were just as vibrant as if we were dining in. We were especially blown away by the Egusi soup, it had that native/home cooking taste, which was especially tasty. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality, a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.
Rodo Nigerian Cuisine truly went above and beyond to make sure their takeout service meets the same standard as dining in. We’ll definitely be ordering from them again and recommending them to friends and family. This is easily one of the best pickup experiences we’ve had!...
Read moreI went with my girlfriend and it was such a lovely place. It’s located in a really serene environment and is decorated beautifully with wonderful African art. The servers were really sweet to us and engaged us in our playful banter when we told them Ghanaian jollof was superior. They ended up changing my mind though. I had the suya and meat pie before the main meal and the suya tasted like heaven. The meat pie is what dreams are made of. It was really well prepared and had the ideal spice combination. It gave me multiple foodgasms. Their jollof is the best Nigerian jollof I’ve had and the chef who made it must be in contention to win the Nobel prize in cooking if there’s ever one in future. I will recommend this place 100/100 times. I might even refund your money if you do not enjoy their meals. Best African restaurant in the...
