I dont know how to add pictures or i would have. I ordered an ice cream cake from Pecoras Creamery for my daughters graduation. I asked for the colors to be red, silver and white. The only red and silver is sprinkles. The one side did not have icing on and what was on the sides was sparce. There was also hardly any chocolate crumbles in the center. The whole cake hardly had any. I went back to Pecoras the next day to show the pictures and the girl working took pictures off my phone and said she would tell her manager, was never going to take my number for a response. I heard nothing back the next day so I went back and spoke to another girl who also took pictures and texted her manager while I waited. After waiting while she took care of customers, she came back and asked me if I looked at the cake before I left with it and I said only through the top after wiping off the fog. She said then you accepted it the way it was and that the damage happened on my way home. She said I must have left it out too long. Mind you I put it in a cold storage bag and went right home with it and put it in my deep freezer. She told me I should have opened it all up and inspected it before I left the store with it. It should be perfect when i pick it up and you shouldnt have to inspect to see if there is icing on the sides. The managers or owners sister told told me that 15 to 17 years olds are the ones that make the cakes. They have 2 years experience making them. They offered my nothing. They also said all the cakes were inspected before putting in the freezer. I will never order from there again and hope to spare anyone else who was thinking about ordering from there.
A response to your response. There was icing that was laying on the side but it was not from melting. There was a part of the cake that had no icing on it at all. It wasn't there and the cake did not get too warm. It was put right in a freezer bag and put right in my freezer. I live only about 15 minutes away. It should not soften that fast in a freezer bag and air conditioning on in my car. If your staff would have said to open the box and inspect it I would have. When i picked the cake up there was only 1 person there and i dont think she was a cake decorator. When you purchase something you expect it to be right and not have to check to make sure it's completed. There were hardly any chocolate crumbles on the inside. That you cannot check by inspecting the outside of the cake. It was a rushed cake and they messed up. I was told by your staff that a pint goes on the 8 in and 10 in cakes. I'm lucky if it got sprinkled on my cake. You can't own up to a mistake, it's sad. And no this didn't clear anything up, if anything just makes me even more mad that you would try to say that I did...
Read moreI haven’t left a negative review before, but feel the need to address a few things. I sent an email to the owner and never heard back. I also called the Berwick location in hopes to catch the owner, and again never got a call back. The good: Beautiful venue and outdoor seating. Love the mindfulness of little ones (there was a toy barn with little animals and figures inside) and how visually appealing the outdoor seating area is. We purchased 4 single scoops and a milkshake. There was a VERY enthusiastic customer picking up a cake who arrived while we were looking over the coolers and the menu who is seriously like a cheerleader for your business! The bad: The prices are high for what I would call “regular” ice cream and you’ll be charged extra for a JOY cake cone. Also, you should know they have many unique and interesting flavors but don’t offer free samples! I would have likely chosen a more creative flavor if they offered samples but at the risk of $4.00 for one scoop and $0.50 for a cone, risk and adventuring was too pricey for my budget! The ugly: Large paper wasp nest in the one outdoor play area for children. The young lady who waited on us (A* per my receipt) didn’t greet us upon entering and did not look up from watching videos on her phone or say anything after I said something like “Thank you and have a nice day”...
Read moreI love milk house. I do wish they would keep to the recipes that they were getting from mapleholfe farms. When they were getting the flavored milk from them and it was identical to Pecoras milk. I cried when I first tasted it I was so happy. Now the flavors are still good but lost alot of luster. The cotton candy is the best in their current line up. The ice tea is without a doubt the way i remember with Pecoras. The ice cream is great and all the other items in there are fantastic. I just have a request that you guys try to mimick the Pecoras flavors again. If I could I would just shop here for everything they have. Love...
