This is an update based on our second visit to the Lighthouse Bend. We arrived this time mid afternoon to an empty restaurant except for one outside table with a party of 6. We were promptly seated and provided menus. Our group ordered a variety of delicious food so we had a great sampling of menu options. The restaurant has new chefs since the last time we were here and that has definitely upped their game! I had the Texas Club and my better half had the Chicken fried Chicken. We were both highly impressed! Reddish tacos? Cajun burger and Texas patty melt were all excellent too. The manager came by and spoke with us about the restaurant and plans for a more Cajun focused menu coming soon. We also had some wonderful deserts (waffle peach cobbler and bread pudding in particular) to cap off the meals. Bottom line...highly recommend Lighthouse Bend the next time you visit Cameron!

A gem of a find in Cameron La! This was the only sit down restaurant we could find. Cameron is still suffering the effect of hurricanes Laura and Delta several Years ago. This restaurant has a modern vibe and a variety menu ranging from a burger to steak and seafood with a Cajun Flair. I had the Texas patty melt and it was very good. Others in my party had the chicken fried chicken and they all liked their meal (" not the best I've ever had but the best in Cameron"). We arrived at the peak of lunch hour so it did take a little while to receive our food. The server was very patient and helpful with us as first time visitors. Kudos to the staff and chef for this...

Totally disappointed. Service was extremely slow despite it not being very busy - about 6-8 tables. Was seated right away but it took about 5 minutes for our server to come to the table. We ordered drinks and was told it "may take awhile" to get a beer. Don't know why because there was several employees walking all over the dining room waiting on other tables including one behind the bar. After waiting for the beer 10 minutes I managed to flag down our server when she finally reappeared and cancelled the beer. When our drinks finally did arrive after being seated for no less than 25 minutes we figured it might be better to just order appetizers. The food came out quicker than the drinks and was fair at best. The spinach and artichoke dip was ordinary and the fried pickles were close to burnt. Again our server was a ghost and it took another 20 minutes for her to reappear and ask for the check. I paid with a $100. bill and she panicked saying she didn't know if they had enough change and disappeared for another 15 minutes before returning with my change.

This was a Saturday afternoon about 2pm. I'm glad we didn't come at a busy time. Sorry but if you guys want to remain open I suggest you train your employees and step up your game. Also I understand due to your location the labor pool is limited but it would be nice if you required your waitresses to cover their tattoos and facial piercings.

Won't come back...

LIGHTHOUSE BEND - Cameron, LA

Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - we came at an odd time for lunch, around 2pm after driving through the Creole Nature Trail but surprisingly we weren’t the only ones there. The decor is immaculate! They did not cut any corners, it is beautifully done. The only negative is there a multiple roof leaks with buckets or mop heads randomly throughout the restaurant & womens bathroom. Hopefully they can get this fixed asap. Our server & the host who sat us was very accommodating.

Food/Drink: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - to drink we had two sodas & the frozen rum & coke, which was very yummy. Split the sampler app, everything was good. My favorite was the crab egg rolls. For entrees, my bf & I split the patty melt with Gouda Mac & a bowl of the crab & corn chowder. All was veryyyy good, the only complaint (not enough to mention our server) was the crab chowder was quite sweet. My bf didn’t like it bc he’s sweet enough, but I’ll take all the help I can get 😂

Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - parking lot was loose rocks but the 4-5 handicap parking spots & ramp loading space were paved. It’s located in Cameron, so the building is up on stilts but there is an elevator. Plenty of low top tables with removable chairs. Pretty open floor plan. Bathroom was slightly tight- took some maneuvering to shut the handicap stall with the chair inside but definitely...
