Dan's Diner — Restaurant in Summerdale

We were very happy with our experience at Dan’s Diner! We were traveling home from vacationing in Gulf Shores and knew we wanted to stop for breakfast. We passed Cracker Barrel and Lambert’s which were both so crowded, so we settled for this little diner off the beaten path. We walked in and were welcome with locals and vacationers filling the space. The ordering process was a little confusing at first, as we had to sit, determine what we wanted, then get up to order at the counter, but it wasn’t too crazy. Food was served to us, but drinks were self served, which again, was fine but we were a little confused if the coffee was for everyone or if you had to pay for it before hand. Food was delicious, fresh, and satisfied our breakfast cravings. I had eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and the homemade biscuits. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. Both were a 10/10. Especially the biscuits - some of the best we’ve ever had. I wish we would have tried the pancakes! We will definitely be back the next time...

Cute little place, clean tables and restrooms. Husband took me here for a lunch date. Staff and owner were polite. Our food was good... I liked my food more than my husband liked his though. I had a patty melt that was awesome... hubby had a chicken wrap and he said it was alright, but compared the chicken to the cheap stuff you get from a grocery freezer section, not fresh grilled chicken. The house chips were excellent!!! I knocked off a star because I was charged $2.50 for a side of pimento cheese that came in a tiny little plastic sauce cup... it should have been $1.00 or $1.50 at most for such a small portion... It did taste good though! We will be back to try other things in the future. The breakfast...

Adorable little diner in Summerdale. We wanted a fun local place to eat and Dan’s Diner didn’t disappoint. Everything was very fresh and cooked well. They have an all day breakfast menu which is a huge plus. Our party got the roast beef dip, burger, pizza and breakfast sandwiches oh and milkshakes. All of our plates were wiped clean, you can tell the owner really cares and he and his waitress were both friendly and attentive. If you want to support a local business with great food Dan’s Diner is an A plus in my book. Will definitely be back when we are in...
