I'm docking one star right out of the gate for the bouncer who made us put our water bottles back in our car when we were walking in. Not sure that's even legal since people need water for health and medical reasons but either way, that was a bad first impression. I guess on one hand, it's a long drive to other options from there but conversely, it's a long drive that people might choose not to make if they feel like they're going to get jerked around.

The service was over the counter so I don't have a lot to say about it. I liked my food but it wasn't anything extrordinary. I liked the idea of enjoying lunch in a beautiful location and it was definitely beautiful up there. My wife however, didn't like hers. It might be a bi-product of her anger about the bottle bouncer but I imagine it would be a tough sell to get her to come back. The prices were on the high side of standard but that's all enraging when I think about how food like this was less than half what this cost even a decade ago. I understand that the economy isn't their fault but when people are more discerning in their eat out choices due to limited budget, maybe pissing them off on the way in to your establishment isn't...

Wow, talk about finding a hidden gem right outside Vegas. The flavors tell you they’ve had years of experience making all items on the menu.

Fresh is a word often used but when it comes to Maria’s, they talk the talk. Their green sauce was bright, tangy and full of freshly pureed tomatillos and herbs. No spice level at all but none is needed here.

The chicken enchiladas used corn tortillas. Both the chicken and corn were tender and delicious, easily surpassing many other eateries in Las Vegas in terms of quality and flavor.

The beans were another high point, delicious and not overly salty, so you know they are proud of the simple flavor and high quality beans they use.

Will absolutely come back here for a the food and a great view...

This little hideaway has some of the best Mexican food we've had. We've made the short trip up the mountain from Vegas during our last two Nevada vacations to enjoy the cuisine. A quaint takeout stand nestled in the natural desert surroundings, Maria's offers picnic table seating alongside a giant koi pond. The tacos, burritos and churros were fantastic and reasonably priced. This is a great place to eat after your driving tour of nearby Red Rock Canyon park. If you see her, please say "hi" to the owner,...

Very unexpected. Was hiking in the area and pulled this gem up on Google maps. Delicious. One of the better hole in the walls I've been to. Plenty of outside shaded tables and chairs. The burritos and tortas were amazing. The fish taco was a reorder on our way out for the drive home. Will definitely eat here again.

This place has great interior, with bills pasted all over the walls, many pictures from the past of patrons and memories decorated on the wall. The hostess at the bar was very friendly and cheerful, but the food is order outside like the food truck fashion, food is good , tasty and may be worth the price paid.
