I've never felt so disrespected by an employee. The unethical acts were already being displayed but I overlooked it because they aren't on my level in society anyway. The question is do the servers of the bar own the restaurant or do they purchase the product for the restaurant from their own personal pockets??? Who pays shoney's bills? The employees or the owners??? Or is the managers in charge for the running or upkeep of the business personal affairs in the long-term success of the restaurant on the left wing. I saw plenty of cross-contamintion going on but I held back because the state of society and I didn't want to make matters worse for those who's already experiencing poverty. But one thing I will not tolerate from a minority is disrespectful approaches and responses when I am spending government funds to support the cause. You have to be careful, how you entertain certain guest because I could be your payroll overseer. You don't control anything or anyone at shoney's but yourself, your behavior and your own actions under stress and pressure working at a lucrative business. If certain patrons presence offends you, then a public place of work isn't a good place for you. A fool can cost a successful business millions for malpractice. Get it together...cause we don't like whistle blowers, do we??? So I would suggest calling a meeting with the employees that works the floor 😞 ...and every now and then do a wellness check ✅...if they are feeling overwhelmed, send them on a brief break to exhale, breathe, reset and refocus. That's how you show love and compassion for the lessser, meaning inexperienced in...
Read moreThis was supposed to be a wonderful Sunday breakfast with my children and grandchildren this labor day weekend. I travelled here to visit in Carolina. It was a bad experience from entering to exiting. The hostess was not very pleasant that seated us, then we just took whatever seat since she wouldn't allow us to choose with a party of 5. The Buffet Food was salty , there were no spoons in the food to serve yourself and there was an older lady there yelling at me and the other employees about ,,Wait Wait....there are no spoons... Clearly we could see that and couldn't do anything without them...she was rolling her eyes and being rude. When we finally got our food , low and behold the chicken was raw n bloody..😝😝 I made it known to our waitress so no one else would consume this...and get sick. The restaurant is entirely to small and tight areas to have a comfortable experience without having accidents of some sort. When we were leaving the restaurant the same lady that was yelling abruptly stopped us and I was exhausted by this time with the whole ordeal that was supposed to be a pleasant family time out. She said she was taking something off for the BLOODY CHICKEN, and took off $3.00 -$4.00....Wow...that's not even worth the nasty food and attitudes we recieved that...
Read moreMy mom and I brought my dad on veteran's day so he could enjoy the free breakfast bar for thosewho served. It was absolutely packed! But the staff handled the crowd flawlessly! They were friendly, efficient, and things moved quickly. There was such a festive atmosphere that put the patrons in good spirits. There were many pleasant exchanges with total strangers that left you feeling like you had just been talking to one of your friends. The waitresses stayed busy and met every need and request with a smile. I saw several staff members refilling the bar so the food was constantly hot and fresh. It was a team effort and I give the whole staff kudos! It has been years since we have eaten at Shoneys... not because of any bad experience but rather because we just don't think about it most of the time. But for the same money as you would spend at most any other establishment, you can enjoy a wide variety and it's all you can eat, so we will definitely be coming back! Thanks again Shoneys for honoring...
