^^^As to your comment, Mr Daniel Kreshak when you came in with your friend you were told about how we do things at our restaurant and actually I told you both that our sampler special was for “ anything you would like that will fit on your plate one time through”. That is not very hard to comprehend. If you could come back through it would be a buffet, not a bar! And I asked how you enjoyed the food so not sure why your review was low! I also took care of the cake myself….the other gentleman did not pay extra! I did! I am very sorry you feel the way you do but our family restaurant is well spoken of by all who come there. They have a one time through rule. I was treated to the Sampler meal($14) and got baked chicken. After I finished the meal, the ,gentleman who paid for my meal, told me that I was entitled to a piece of cake. I went up to the counter and asked for a piece and was told by the server that it would cost an additional $2. I told her that the gentleman who paid for my meal said that it was included with the meal. She gave it to me but after I went back to the table, the servers came up to us and demanded we paid the $2 because I should have taken a piece of cake the first time through the line. Great staff, great food, good country style setting and lots of flavor in the food. Sumter has been needing a place like this for quite some time now. Most everywhere else around here that claims country cooking , has been found to be canned food just dumped and warmed. Never have I ever had anything from Sylvia Jo's that taste like it comes from a can. Their potato salad and cobblers are my favorite. Their handburgers are hand pattied and French fries are fresh cut never frozen. Porkchops are always tender and their cabbage is always full of flavor.
