To begin, service was extraordinarily slow. We waited 30–45 minutes just for our drinks, which set the tone for the evening. My husband specifically ordered his burger medium rare, yet it arrived very well done.
Compounding the issue, the restaurant was conducting a marketing photo shoot during dinner service. The patio, which is typically serene and scenic, was instead crowded with managers, servers, and photographers hovering near our table. It completely disrupted the ambiance we had hoped to enjoy.
At the end of our meal, we requested a dessert menu. I opted for a latte for the drive home, only to be told by our server, “They’re made at the snack shack, and I don’t think anyone has time to make one, if I’m being honest.” The delivery was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. If that’s the case, why offer the option at all?
Despite that, we ordered dessert and regretted it due to yet another long wait.
There are many wonderful places to dine in Sunriver. I’m not one to leave a negative review, but this experience was remarkably poor.
For the staff, it may have been just another workday. For us, it was our 10 year anniversary, a rare evening away from our children, and a chance to enjoy something special. Unfortunately, the attitude of the staff made us feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. The entire experience lacked warmth, and basic...

We originally had a reservation to sit outside, but staff called earlier that day to confirm where we wanted to sit due to unexpectedly hot weather. This was excellent attention to detail that is just one example of the excellent service — we hadn’t even walked into the restaurant yet.
Our waitress, Sarah, was friendly and helped us in suggesting items from the menu. She also helped take a photo of our family, taking photos from a few different angles to capture good lighting. She went above and beyond.
For the appetizers, we shared the crab cakes and the corn dip. Both were delicious. The crab cakes were especially tasty, since they weren’t filled with mostly bread crumbs. These were FULL of crab. 😋
For my meal, I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Like the appetizers: delicious. Don’t get me started on the waffle fries.
For dessert, we all shared the s’mores skillet. I’ve never had a treat quite like this. It was perfect sharing size and, as you may expect, delicious.
I would highly recommend eating here. It was a highlight of our family trip...
Read moreWish I could have rated this higher. Location is awesome, staff is great. We were the only ones dining inside, late afternoon lunch so that was a given. My son had a grilled cheese from the child's menu, it looked like melted velveta on white toast and ran about $14. Waffle fries were amazing though. I ordered the Bison Burger as it has top ratings here.. I asked for it to be cooked medium. The burger came out with a bun that flaked apart, over toasted. And the meat was BEYOND medium. So dry you couldn't squeeze any far from it. I ate almost half and left the rest waste of a $28 burger). My wife had the Oregon Berry Salad and it was probably the best thing offered. Daughter ordered the mushroom grilled cheese.. thus one was decent but really not worth the price. Family of 4, total meal $105 without tip. I did tip $20. So $125. Like I said, service was good.
Overall, if atmosphere and service is really what you want, this is the place to go. If you want quality...
