An absolute hidden gem. 💎

Off the beaten path in Surry, Me lies Perry’s lobster shack. It’s appearance is deceiving because it’s more than just a shack. Their food is top tier and the freshness scale is off the charts.

We were recommended this place from a local in Surry. We were not disappointed. There is a good amount of parking available. They are dog friendly which is fantastic. It is also BYOB so neutrally we packed the yeti! 🧊

Started off with the clams. The clams were the best I’ve ever had. They were fresh and steamed to perfection. Served with hot butter! 🐚 🧈

Then I moved on to the lobster roll! It was tasty and the best I’ve had in Maine. Loaded with fresh lobster meat. 🦞

For dessert we had the blueberry pie and ice cream. The pie was light and served warm. It has to be the best blueberry pie in Maine! 🫐

If you are staying in the Bar Harbor area and somehow stumbled across this place and we’re wondering if it was worth the trip, I’ll tell you that it is!

Attached a few pictures of our amazing view as well! 🛶

The prices were high in my opinion, but the quality of the food overcame...

Best lobsters and lobster rolls in the Blue Hill to Ellsworth area (and probably beyond, though I haven't hit up ALL the other places in Downeast Maine 😁).

This is were the locals and returning summer folks go to for their lobster rolls and dinners. You can beach all day at Newbury Neck's Carrying Place Public Beach, then go for lunch or dinner at Perry's. The lobsters come from those waters, fresher and better than many other lobster restaurants. Their rolls are amazing, about a buck or two more than most others, but the whole lobster that is used, the great lobster salad "sauce" and other ingredients and the always fresh and warm rolls make the extra buck more than worth it. Add to that eating on Perry's pier, with the view over the water, looking out to the bay and ocean waters with the mountains of Acadia National Park in the distance. Also, they have a fire pit with seating for people waiting for take out and your children (or you!) can pick up the lobsters from their saltwater tank out front, for a bit of...

I’ve been here twice now and both times the food was excellent! We’ve had the lobster dinner, the broiled scallops (which you order by the number of scallops that you want), the cowboy burger (which is a burger with lobster and cheese on it), and the blueberry pie. The lobster has always been great! I tried the scallops this year and they were big, really fresh and tasted awesome. They even gave me two extra for free! My son had the cowboy burger and really enjoyed. The blueberry pie is really delicious….Maine blueberries are the best! The service is always really good and the people that work here are very friendly. You eat on a pier above the water and they have covered seating when the weather is misbehaving. It is our favorite place...
