Cornerstone Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Swansea

I've been a couple times, for the most part the food is pretty good. I've been served cold food after having to wait for unreasonable amounts of time however. Friends I've come here with have been served very hard bread. Every time I've been the wait for the food was very long, despite most of the other people there having already finished their food and only there to talk, taking up tables and forcing lines to be seated. Has not failed yet, every time I come it's very loud inside. Almost have to yell just to be able to heard to someone sitting directly across from me, and it's almost always the people that aren't eating and are just sitting there to talk. Once they leave, if they do leave before you do, the volume inside instantly drops to a reasonable level and you can have a normal conversation like you would at almost any restaurant. Every table only gets one menu, everyone has to take turns reading the menu which makes ordering your food take longer than it should. Decent selection of food at decent prices, which are the only redeeming factors to me. I've never personally tried the bakery but I've heard it's good. Overall, I wouldn't come back if it...

An old favorite although it hasn't been as efficient since covid. I have noticed that the bakery section has improved at least by sight. The bakery has increased the number of offerings and has added identification tags in the case so you're no longer guessing. They even had Valentines decorations! I wonder if it's changed ownership or at least management. 🤔

The dining room unfortunately hasn't changed decor..still cafeteria looking. A few decorations. But one of Cornerstone's biggest problems is help. There is one waitress handling the whole dining room.. doing it all. Seating, taking orders, serving, bussing, cashier's, cleaning tables..I'm sure I've missed something. Seems like they need help in the kitchen too? 🤔

The food is still pretty good! Try the Kings (meat) omelet. I like the hash browns much better now..they are less oily.

Today being 3/22 is my finacee birthday. We where going to our vet being Vitality of Swansea vet. We traveled from Warwick, RI. We wanted breakfast - brunch spot. Ginas in Fall River, Ma. Closed at 1pm We where at vet around noon. The commute was like 21 minutes from vet to ginas. I started Googling and Cornerstone appeared. You guys where 4 minutes away. You guys had good rating and food / price looked great. I am a picky eater. I am portguese and I can be overly critical on Portuguese sweetbread but I would rank you guys in my top two. My number one is lous bakery in Fall River. The service was great. The food was amazing. The price was shocking as how affordable it was. The portions where more then enough to fill you up and some. True portguese establishment usually you don't leave hungry. The waitress was friendly and kind. The bakery looked amazing we didn't get anything cause we where stuffed and usually we would say for later but I ordered my finacee birthday cake for later. We will definitely be returning at some...
