Me given this place one star is very generous. Upon our arrival, the owner wanted to put us (with a 4 year old) in the bar area next to a gentleman playing an accordion way too loud. After expressing my concern, we were put in another section. Since there was no complimentary chips and salsa, we ordered some with a side of queso and frozen margaritas. Unfortunately, the saying good things come to those who wait doesn't apply to this situation. The drinks had chunks of ice in it with barely any alcohol, the queso was so thick it could have been used as plaster and the salsa, let's just say any supermarket jar salsa is better.
Unfortunately, my meal wasn't any better. My steak was dry and the rice had absolutely no flavor to it. What I found amusing was, if you want a sizzling plate for your fajita you have to pay a dollar extra. Huh? What? Plus no sour cream or guacamole comes with it. Yes, that's right, you have to pay extra for that too. Since I needed help to get the meal down, I ordered two. The guacamole was inedible due to the amount of lime juice in it. The waitress said she would ask them to take it off the bill. But lo and behold, this money hungry establishment wouldn't do so. To our surprise, the waitress said she would pay for it. We were so touched by the gesture. But obviously we wouldn't allow that to happen. I requested to speak with the owner but was told she didn't want to speak with me and was too busy. That didn't sit well with me , so I got up to find her. When I approached her, I explained situation and how I was displeased with our whole experience. She became very combative, rude and dismissive. I was beside myself. But I guess that becomes your behavior when you only see dollar signs.
Needless to say, we will never go back. And I will share my experience with anyone who is...

Herby’s is now opened on Tuesdays too, for Taco Tuesday. The added benefit: Herby’s Margaritas for $6.00 each. We ordered Taco chips with guacamole and salsa. All fresh and tasty. One person ordered the shrimp Fajita, which was excellent ( see pic of the large shrimps!) Another friend ordered the Duo Fajita on a sizzling plate, and fresh salad to replace the rice and beans. Both recommended. The tacos were on Special and a couple ordered the Duo ( chicken and steak) Very tasty. My choice was the Steak Fajita on a sizzling plate with rice and beans on the side. Excellent and the sizzling plate I highly recommend too! For me the Dessert was a very pleasant surprise: Raspberry Churros! Absolutely delicious ( see pic) I met the owner, Maria, who skillfully runs this gem of authentic...
Read moreCheese on the chicken burrito tasted like I was eating plastic and the chicken tasted very strange, plus there were two tiny hairs on top, I don't know if those come with the meal or I just got them for free. When I brought up the taste of the cheese a lady, I guess the owner insisted almost furiously that nothing was wrong with the cheese. Well, I wish Gordon Ramsey could take a look at what I just put in my mouth! I'd say do not come here unless you want to argue with an owner who insists your food tastes better than YOU say it does.---- day later, I have...
