The Rusty Bucket Tap House — Restaurant in Sweet Home

We recently visited this restaurant for dinner, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The establishment was clean, and the staff was friendly, which always sets a great tone for the evening.

One standout feature that I absolutely loved was the variety of activities they provided for kids—games, cards, coloring supplies, and puzzles. As a mom of a 3- and 4-year-old, I really appreciated this thoughtful touch.

That said, I did run into some challenges with the seating. The tables were quite tall, and my 3-year-old's eyes were barely level with the table when seated in the regular chair. We tried the child seat, but it seemed uncomfortable for her and didn't add much height. We then switched to a booster, which made me a bit nervous as it was plastic on a metal chair—definitely not ideal for wiggly toddlers! Additionally, the tables themselves were very narrow, which made dining across from someone a little cramped.

As for the food, my girls were happy with their chicken strips and burgers. However, I ordered Jojos and was disappointed to receive potato medallions instead. They were soggy, overly greasy, and still crunchy in the middle—not what I expected or paid extra for. In fact, everyone in our group who ordered potatoes had similar complaints. Out of our party of eight, half of us enjoyed our meals, while the other half were less than impressed.

My family has visited the Rusty Bucket on different occasions since they opened. Each time we have been very satisfied with our experience and it seems to get better with each visit. The food is always fresh and flavorful with portions on the larger side. Today our family visited and tried their prime rib Philly steak sandwich special. It was delicious! The aujus that came with it was homemade and better than any we have had before (this coming from a food critic). The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy and are always good. The service we received was great! The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time for how busy they were. Kylee was very kind and attentive. Since this place is brand new I don't want to ruin the rating, however they have some major kinks to work out. It took almost an hour to get our food and there was only a handful of people, so it wasn't because they were busy. Three orders were sent back with mistakes while we were sitting there. When we received our food, we were missing items on our burger. We were starving so we didn't have them fix it. Food it pretty good but fries tasted like old fryer oil. When I got the bill, I about tipped out of my chair. $63.00 for a cider, a burger, two kids meals and drink. If you want a tiny ranch cup it's an extra $1.
